    4 Weeks Post Op

Well tonight I weighed in at 281lbs. I'm getting quite frustrated with my weight and I am only 4 weeks post op and have lost a total of 24lbs. 21 of which were in the first 2 weeks. I am hoping that I can get a boost on losing this weight. I am having issues keeping up with my pills and sorts and really need to kick myself in the arse to get taking them. Also, I've noticed the last two days m protein intake has slowed. I am scared I might be falling in to old habits. I certainly hope not though. I just ordered some of the protein shots and am looking forward to getting those for a variety as I have just been having whey powder in water....boring lol. If there are any of you out there that experienced a plateau straight away, please let me know how you handled it. Also, I am looking for workout regimes. I have gone to the gym 2 last week and a few walks, as well as one morning jog/walk for 30 minutes total. That killed me lol. A few questions: 1. When did you start ab workouts and how much? 2. How many times per day were you eating after one month of being sleeved? 3. Did you suffer from constipation and if so, what did you do for it? Thanks everyone and I hope you all had an amazing Easter weekend. Cheers, Renee
  2. I can't upload from my iPad. I will have to figure out another way.
  3. People were lucky if they got a picture of me head to toe lol. I will have to get out of my comfort zone and take some I guess. Lol. Scary but I will do it.

    8 Months! Before And After

You look amazing. You are my inspiration.
  5. I guess it all depends on you and what you can tolerate. I'm getting almost 90g of protein a day and 2 meals of puréed. I try and get jello in me as well. However, doesn't always happen. I'm down 21lbs but that was my first two weeks. I've been at a stand still for almost two weeks and have been back to the gym for a week.
  6. I was told by my dietician, clear fluids for the first 2 weeks, puréed foods the next two weeks and then soft foods for another two weeks. After that I could start to introduce solids again. I'm still doing puréed soups and sorts and I was on the tail end of week 3 since post op. I had mine done on Mar 12th. I would consider the stuff you're eating to be puréed - soft foods.
  7. Well! This is my first post. A happy one I might add! I was sleeved on Mar 12th weighing in at 304lbs. I am 2 weeks and one day post op and I am 283lbs. I am finding now that I am on puréed foods, I find myself wanting to eat a bit more. I'm scared that I will fall into my old habits. I am constipated which sucks arse lol. I am thinking I may have to use Metamucil or something in my Protein Shakes as I'm sure constipation is not good at this point. I am consuming about 69-80 grams of Protein a day, a litre of Water and two puréed meals along with a snack (jello or Popsicle) per day, give or take. I've been given the okay to start back to the gym at week 4, only to get my heart rate up, now has anyone started sooner than the 4 weeks? My reasoning in asking this is because I feel great and I know I don't want to push it but I feel that I could go back now and start the elliptical. Not hardcore intense by all means but at least to get my heart rate up a bit. Also, did any of you suffer from any dizziness due to less calorie intake? All the feed back in the world will help. Also if you have any good puréed food plans with high fibre and protein to share, please do. Thanks for reading and I hope that I keep you posted on my success. I will post a before pic shortly. Cheers, Renee
