Im having that same problem at 4 days post op...Its normal the doctor told me it can last a couple of weeks...walking is the best thing to relieve the pain from gas. I use gas x strips they help but they dont help all the time. best thing is to walk. I walk back and forth in my house alot lol

I had surgery this past Wed...when I woke up I felt like I had a lot of phlem stoke in my chest...it was hard to cough it out because I was still in pain from surgery...I had a morphine drip...I was able to give myself pain medication every 10 minutes...I experienced a little nausea the following day thats about it...I was discharged yesterday afternoon...I've been experiencing a lot of gas pain it starts from my stomach and builds up to my chest..its the worst but gas x strips have helped me sooooo much....Im able to do pureed food but I'm trying to stay with liquids right now...just sipping through out the day...just taking one day at a time.

I had my surgery at New York Presbyterian on April 11th...I was dischargeed yesterday...was suffering from a lot of gas but gas x strips have been a blessing...was able to get a little Protein in today..been sipping on liquids all day to stay hydrated...Thank God I'm feeling okay today...takin one day at a time

Hi everyone, I had my surgery on the 11th, this past Wednesday. I was discharged yesterday afternoon. Doing okay...just been dealing with a lot of gas...the gas is pure evil lol...I laugh now but its not to funny when I feel the gas building up from my stomach to my chest :0(...that is the thing that's bothering me the most is the gas...the only thing that helps is walking...walking back and forth while I'm writing this actually...also been using gas x strips they have helped so much...it actually helped me get a good night sleep last night...felt some nausea only on the next day but the nurse gave me something for that...really hard to do the protein and the puree right now..been drinking liquids and eating some jellos...thank goodness I bought those protein jellos lol...but other then that I'm doing okay :0)...if any of you have any questions or advice lol please feel free

To all my pre-opers!!! I have my surgery today...need to be at the hospital at 10am and will be having surgery at 11:30am....feeling really nervous but I'm trying to stay calm...let's see how I get once reality sets in and I'm finally admitted into the hospital...lol...I laugh about it now but I don't think ill be laughing later lol...anyways I will try to write another post while being in the hospital to let you guys know of my experience. See you guys on the post-op side :0)

Hello Everyone, I was shopping for my food and Protein today for my surgery that Im having on Wednesday and I found this amazing product at GNC. Maybe some of you have heard of them but I sure havent. LOL . I wanted to share this info with all of you!!!!! Its called Pure Protein..Protein snack Jello...They have 23 grams of protein in just a jello!!!! I thought these were so cool. lol I hope this helps some of you when your shopping for your food items :0)

Well, how can I start...I'm a nervous wreck...anxious...I kept having nightmares about the surgery last night...I'm scared of the pain I might feel...scared something might go wrong...my mind is racing...I have such a bad headache because I'm thinking so much...I wanna calm down and feel relaxed but I can't...I never had surgery so that's why I'm freaking out...please help...need some words of encouragement :0(

I know Im not going to be able to get any sleep tonight either. I just want it to be this time tomorrow lol

Thank you everyone for your words of encourgement. I stil feel nervous. My fiance asked me if I wanted to cancel and I said no. I know I am making the right decision for myself. Struggling with my weight my whole life. Its time for a change. My new life begins tomorrow. I need to be at the hospital at 10am and my surgery is at 11:30am. I know the Lord will be with me tomorrow as he always is. I will keep everyone posted here on my progress and my experience. Thank you again everyone and pray for me :0)

Okay I tried one they taste okay...but they do have a slight after taste of like medicine almost...I'm guessing from the protein... lol

The flavors they have are tropical fruit and cherry punch.

I was checking the ingredients on the labels and it states it contains whey protein isolate...not sure my fiance has been buying the brand Pure Protein for awhile now and he loves them.

I havent tried them yet. I bought everything before rushing off to work. But as soon as I taste it I will let all of you know of my taste reveiw lol...Oh and thank you!!!
