this forum has also been a great help to me before and as of 4/4 after. how soon did anyone notice weight loss after surgery. I am getting the water and protein in. ttuthfully

I like the protein shakes premier is it normal to want to drink them this soon after surgery on on 4/4 I have no desire any food.

ok I had surgery yesterday and I really can't complain about the pain I am just second guessing myself that I did something so permanent. is this a normal feeling. I now know what everyone means about not getting fluids down. I am going home tom so hopefully I will feel calmer. I need some positive reinforcement. thanks everyone

my dr said for two weeks anything that go through a straw. water broth protein. drinks and hello. then mushy foods. I am not at all hungry.

I was sleeved on 4/4 I am not having a problem getting on some water so far. I like the protein I am drinking

I have kept out pretty private I did not feel like answering questions or people watching to see what I am eating. now I have to figure out what to tell people at work why i was out a week. my best friend at work who does know said my friends at work have been asking about me. i think i will say i had a hernia repairs which i really did. i just told my brother yesterday I had the surgery 4/4 he was do happy for me and watched the operation on you tube. I decided I will pick and choose carefully who I tell I am going back to work wed

I just got home from the hospital I do not have slit of pain just tired

that was not the answer you were looking for I smoke and had my sleeve 4/4 I had a cigarette today but then realized how stupid that is. I just had major surgery to improve my life and I am smoking to end it. I decided then and there to stop. you can do it too

I got home today surgery was 4/4 not much pain I was able to ger down a protein shake premier shakes 30 grams at costco or sans pretty good had about 24 ounces of water but nothing else. I will try to do more water its that ok. I do not want any food. I still can't believe I did it. I don't regret it just a meltdown,yesterday about how final this surgery is. feel better today. I have to lose about 70pounds and I guess most people in the hospital have more so some of the nurses told. me I was not that big I hide it well:-) which made me second guess myself. all in all I feel ok better them I anticipated

I am trying to drink my first protein shake. when do you typically notice weight loss. just curious not obsessed. I am trying to drink water not hungrey at all.

congratulations I can't believe I had my surgery on wed and Iam home. it went better then I fthought. now I am trying to get in. my Water a.m. Protein. I sound like everyone else. my dr us keeping me on liqyids for 2 weeks

thank that is the stuff I need to hear. I am sure once I see a weight loss I will feel better. it has not helped that everyone at the hospital is saying I am not tha big I have to lose 60 to 70 pounds per my dr. if I was able to do it myself I would have. thanks again

I have not really had any pain our has. I have been walking around all day I had my first meal today very salty chicken broth and dissenters hello really didn't eat any of it. trying to drink water. now I know what everyone us taking about about how hard it its to get down. and then not good bowel problems. I guess I am in. for slot of surprises. it is amazing how little I can eat. this is going to be an interesting journey :-)

I know are glas it is over me too. are you hungry at all. I have been having I'ce chips nothing until tom and they the test ok the journey towards thinness had started

it is amazing maybe the dr. didn't do out. i did have some gas im my shoulder but so not much pain could be the pain meds i can't sleepin. the hospital he may let me go home tom. you will do great tom stay positive. everyone in this hospital has been great. i love the anetessia doctor he was funny. the nurse i had prior to surgery told me my dr did his wifes gastric bypass nine years ago and he.is the best that was good to know before surgery. when the dr meet with me before surgery my husband was asking him questions about his fall bladder now that is clueless:-P . soul i can say us so far so good

fixed a hietal hernia ondid not.know i had he wants me.to stay on clear liquids for 2 weeks so far so good

sorry or send anyway the pain had were not bad. i will be in the hospital until friday. my dr even fixed a hiatel

i start my journey 4/4 i am nervous and excited which is feelings i am sure you have all felt. i made the decision to not tell many people i have not been able to share my feelings with pretty much anyone but my husband and best friend. my friend had it done 9 months ago with not one complication. my husband on the other hand is pretty clueless. i guess he will figure it when there is no dinner;-) . reading everyones

just want to wish everyone who is having surgery tom including me good luck and a speedy recovery. we are on our way to new healthy skinny life

I had to meet with a nurse and therapist and they sent everything to the surgeon. i also had to get an ekg and chest xray from my primary dr he had to clear me for surgery. none of it took long i was on a mission and moved fast

after I met with everyone they sent all the info to my dr and then they submitted it to aetna and I had a date the following week from my dr.

they moved my surgery up from 2:30p tom. to 10:30a tom. it is getting closer and closer, and I am getting more and more excited. The people at the hospital have all called to see if I have any questions really nice. I did not know anything about going home with drains . Also, how long before you can take a shower? All the questions I probably should have asked are now popping up.
