1 Year And Counting, Loss Of Momentum And Confidence
HealthyCathy replied to Healingheart74's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I definitely think you should find a new lap band doctor, having a good doctor gives you reinsurance and the knowledge you need to get through certain obstacles. As for the slight weight gain, everyone hits a plateau sometime during their lap band journey, the only way to continue on your journey is to push through and continue trying. I wish you all the best, good luck! -
Yea protien shakes does not taste that good but unjury is the lesser of too evils it tastes slightly better lol
-
I think moderation is the key, I dont think you should eat 1000-1200 calories a day and then on your cheat day double or triple that, I dont find that to be good for your body at all

I completely agree with morel girl, calcium citrate all the way!

Cant Believe I Use To Eat This Way Smh
HealthyCathy replied to NYsLegend78's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
That looks reminiscent of what I use to eat, prior to the sugery I always thought what I ate was a bit above "normal" now I realize, just how much "food" I use to eat lol -
1200 calories is really good, it seems like you are getting all of your daily nutritional needs, I suggest taking a multivitamen to strenghten the body a bit more
-
I think you can drink it once in a while but pop is acidic and when I drink it I sometimes a bloated feeling.
-
I love ice cream and patato chips and that is why I cannot have any in my house, I do not want to start eating it..
-
Sounds like a great way to solve my munchies, thank you =)
-
I think you can lose weight without exercising but your body will look more propitionate if you exercise too.
-
definitely squats, it makes your bum look bigger and more toned, its a win win
-
I think you should start off with some light exercise, such as walking etc. Then proceed to harder ones, walking around 15 minutes a day will get you into the mood to exercise, it sure helped me =)
-
congratulations! you look great! happy Bandiversary! lol

That is great to know, one of my fears after sugery was having a full body scan and having something go off.. -

I Am Crying As I Write This...
HealthyCathy replied to rae.holmes's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I am sorry to hear about your story... =( Have you heard of meditation? I know it might sound crazy but try it out it really calms you down and it definately helped me with my journal in terms of weight loss. -
Personally I find meditation helps me coup with the days I have terrible cravings. In my mind it is mind over matter, so I guess once you can control your cravings you will stop having cravings.
-
I like reviva, its good for you, has fiber and unexpensive
-
Yea the first bite is always the hardest, I suggest chopping your food and chewing your fooding into really fine pieces, so it goes down easier.
