3 Ky - my heart goes out to you - genuinely. You have had more to deal with in the past few years than many have over a life time. After looking after everyone else's needs, it is about time your hubbie and parents looked after you a bit. Can anyon e hold the fort whilst you have a little break?? It sounds like this is your time now - you very much deserve to feel happier and healthier. Like me, you have a long way to go on your weight goals - but can you imagine how gorgeous we will be when we get there!!! keep your chin up Sarah x

You are undoubtedly right! The problem is all my research went into the actual op and food - not into the post op symtoms etc - so felt a tad dispondant - but i am feeling better every day and walked 4,000 steps this morning (looked like had marrow stuffed up bum!) - so am happyyyy!!!!

hi petit - I am a good water drinker, and am now up to about 2, 30 mins walks a day at a reasonable pace - but tummy feels wobbly and vulnerable lol I have no appetite from the throat down, but my head is confused!

thanks Ready4change and yes i am ridiculously excited about this journey and feel like after supportinf the diet industry so well in the past 20 years i have earnt the right to to eliminate this constant battle. I know it wont be easy but i want a challenge rather than a battle. Best of luck to you

Deb - for me the only cure for the wind was walking loads - slowly but often and blaming the dog a lot - obviously! Peppermint tea is meant to help with wind too hope this helps

Hi Brandi - I was Banded on the same day! OMG! no one warned me how nasty those first fews days were - i couldn't even speak properly for 2 days as my breathing was so shallow. It's weird, my surgeon never mentioned the shallow breathing and shoulder pain - and i thought there was something wrong with me - thanks Gawd for these forums, Today i am mainly feeling pain around my portal - not sure will ever get used to it feels like an alien strapped to my side!! Relieved the op is over as i am sure you are - excited about what is going to be a brilliant year X Saran

I was banded on 20th March, sticking to liquid for 2 weeks then puree for 2 them lumpy! Wierd i feel no hunger from my throat down!! Even wierder i have put on 9 lbs since the op 5 days ago whilst eating under 900 calories a day grrrrr
