I'm in on Thurs 26th and the time is dragging on... I get headaches & migraine all the time but haven't had one since going in pre-op:). They had become more frequent the heavier I got so hopefully from now on us headache sufferers will get more and more headache free days:) How are you doing? You must be a couple of weeks post-op now!

I posted this somewhere else but think it might help you... I thought as my fellow "April Sleever Buddies" and I are on the cusp of major changes, I would show you a documentary that was shown here in Scotland a couple of weeks ago that I found interesting and encouraging. It is about a surgeon who investigates what makes some people fat and she starts from her personal view that we should eat-less-and-move-more and by the end her views have changed about what makes some people overweight and how they can be helped. It deals with Gastric By-Pass but the principles hold true for us "Sleevers" too I think. Interesting, particularly the sections on hunger hormones and stress. Thanks for taking the time to reply. I have taken your advice and am following dietician's guidance. Might do two days of shakes just before op. I wish you well on your journey and look forward to hearing about your success ( that sounded very business-like but you know what I mean;) )

Congratulations on getting your approval and date. You are now officially part of the April 2012 gang! I am due to have my surgery on 26th so we'll be going through this at roughly the same time. I am so glad that I live in Scotland (although I did live in Arlington, VA for a year, as an Au Pair, a lifetime ago - you live in a beautiful part of the world.) if you are going to go crazy during the pre-op period;) See you on the losers bench.

Not "sleeved" until the 26th but have been watching all the April sleevers with interest and amazement. You are all doing so well! I'm at the "let's get this over and done with already" stage:) Just back from holiday where I went into a store and was looking at tops. The spanish sales assistant (this was on the spanish island of Tenerife), who was TINY rushed over and said "Lady I have two for you that are just right" and showed me two size L (these are European sizes so L is probably around a US 18/20). She then stepped back a looked me up and down and said "or I have that one in XL" (the largest size you can get in Tenerife!). Just wanted the ground to open me up and swallow me whole... But no more. I am now on my pre-op and that will be a thing of the past! Losers bench here I come. Can't wait to join all my fellow April 2012 sleevers!

Pre-op was supposed to start on Thursday but didn't get back from holiday til last night. Have gained 2lbs on holiday!! Beginning to get stressed about the pre-op diet - whether to just do shakes until op on 26th or follow the pre-op diet that I was given. What to do what to do...

Glad to hear all is going so well. Keep the updates coming . I am in the last batch of April sleevers (26th April) - you are all trailblazers and I can't wait to join the journey!
