May 2012 Sleevers Group
Nicki D replied to BeautyVGSJourney's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am having a hard time getting in all my Protein shakes, I was suppose to get in 60 grams but now I get in about 30. I eat 1 serving of greek yogurt, sugar free Jello, and try and drink 60 ounces of Water a day. I have been on the liquid diet since the 12 and have surgery on 5/3 yay it is almost here. I has been a struggle for me too but I just think about the weight loss and how I will feel. Then it is all worth it. -
Hi Brenda I am in 8 days and can hardly wait I have been on the liquid diet since the 12th. It has been a little hard I am now having a hard time getting in 60 grams of Protein so my nutritionist cut it down to at least 30 that is easier but getting hard now as the Protein drinks really fill me up. Good luck to you in your new adventure it will be rewarding.

Try Zip Fizz with that you get some vitamins too they have several flavors. You can get them from Amazon they are great and one of the ways I get my water down. -
It is suppose to make sure you get your protein in and try biotin this is what my nutritionist told out support group to do.

Husband A Jerk Before And After Surgery
Nicki D replied to jwelk's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Most men but not all are jerks. If my husband knew I was doing this he would not allow it. Well he may know and is rolling over in his grave about it thinking I should just try harder to lose the weight. Well I did try and it did not work it would come back and more. So this is my time for my health and no one is going to tell me different. If they want to tthey know where they can go. -

Serious Question Should I Prepay My Surgery Weeks In Advance?
Nicki D replied to HondaCivicDude's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Most of the surgeons either here in the U.S. or abroad and paying cash require payment in advance. I gues they do not want us filing bankruptcy on them. -
I use one scoop and 12 ounces of milk and add ice as I like it really cold. It could be the brands not sure. I may be doing something wrong. I really did not read the directions maybe I am suppose to use 16 to 20 ounces of milk. I guess I should check that.

Yay Keep up the great work you are doing wonderful. Congrats on the meds too.

I agree better safe than sorry, my surgeon said he does the same thing too they can't alway tell by the x-ray. I am on a 3 week liquid diet to help reduce the size of my liver. You will probably have to be on a total liquid diet for a little while.

Whey Protien
Nicki D replied to jiggyjen1982@yahoo.com's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
If you can go to Target or Walmart and get a Hamilton Beach single serving blender it is also your travel cup, It cost about $18 and well worth it. I pour my milk or soy milk in the add the Protein mix and pulse it for about 15 seconds drink and enjoy. Not sure if you can depends on what your doctor has told you to do but mixing flavored milk in with the protein mix is good to. I bought Spiru-Tein mix and about 6 flavors and mix it up daily . -
I am on day 10 and 11 days to go on the liquid diet then I wake up and head to the hospital on the 3rd. So happy, excited, can't wait that long. Its a start of a new life for me dreaming to get back into a medium again. So long 3X never to see you again.
