Hello fellow bandsters. I hope you are all doing well today. I got my 2nd fill yesterday with Dr. H. talk about EASY! I didn't even know he had done it. he is GOOD!! LOL I only lost 5 pounds from the previous appointment, but they didn't seem too worried about it. I think I was a little discouraged because I want the weight to DROP.. 1 to 2 pounds a week is what they want...so I guess I am all good. I think I have gained quite a bit of muscle mass becasue I can tell I am firming up...and muscle weighs more than fat. I have been hitting the workouts a little hard. But that is a GOOD thing!! As far as restriction, I could tell with my lunch that I did not need as much to feel full. That last bite was one too many. :faint: Ya'll have a great weekend. I am OFF this weekend and today is my baby girl's birthday ( she is 12 going on 18) so I guess we are partying all weekend:clap2:

hey everybody! I have to laugh when i go through the posts and read them. I remember the 3 days of straight Slim-fast....i was STARVING. When I ate my first salad...that was the best freakin salad I had ever eaten!! Then when I got to drink my soup....same thing... then the mashed potatoes or the scrambled eggs.....ditto! My Granny couldn't have fixed anything that tasted better! It is hilarious that we ALL feel the same way! I haven't really lost any weight since my fill. Maybe a pound. I have started back working out, and I think that may be why. I have to really watch the weights...I bulk up easily and always have...even when I was SKINNY. But I have to say I am feeling better since I startd back to CURVES. But I would rather be Muscular and bigger then just plain fat. It is that time of year again that I am rushed rushed rushed. Both kids playing ball...I am gone from my house 4 nights a week with them and the weekends for tournaments. I know where my weakness is....it is called....WILLPOWER! I am hoping that I can get another fill when I go back April 23 and that will help with me being hungry. The Nutritionist told me that the 5th and 6th week is the hardest...so that made me feel better. I hope everyone has a great day and your tummy feels full after only 1/2 cup of food!!!

Hey everyone! I haven't been on here in a while :success1: I had my first fill on the 7th and I really cannot tell a difference. I don't go back for 6 weeks.... It really didn't hurt bad....but the lidocaine or what ever they used to deaden the site burned. Other than that it was nothing. I am down 25/26 pounds...depends on if I weigh in the morning or afternoon..lol. I am having trouble being hungry so I guess I need some more fill.... As usual, my patience is short. I want results NOW but I know that is impossible and I didn't get this big overnight...so therefore I will not get skinny overnight. Finding time for myself for exercise is hard...here comes the busier season...softball, baseball, you name it... something every night. I found something that I cannot eat.....I made some "souper minute rice" the other night for the family and let me tell you....... I felt like I had someone SITTING on my chest after about 2 bites. Never again! I am glad all is doing well.....Good luck and hang in there to the newbies! The GAS after surgery was the worst part! I am over a month out and if I get cold or really tired, it still hurts my collar bone and shoulder blade. Hang in there! Paula S.

Hey Lisa, Did the fill hurt?? I have heard it both ways, yes and no...

I am always a day late and a dollar short...lol....I don't have alot of time to spend on the computer so when I have a little time at work I am trying to read the posts and reply. Ya'll are all great...All of us feel the same about things. The sleep study did suck, but I have 0 sleep apnea. That has never been a problem for me...but my husband does and he wears a c-pap - otherwise we would be in TROUBLE! lol. We have only been married for two years and I told him before he went for his study that I didnt marry his hairy butt to have to sleep in another room!!!! It has been a lifesaver for both of us...it was so scary to hear him quit breathing and start counting and I would get to 25 and shove him so he would breath again. It is expensive, but it is saving his life....and my band is expensive, but it is saving mine..so it is a catch 22. I was not in any discomfort after surgery. None at all. The only problem I have had is with the Pluresy from the gas....I am a month out ( on the 7th) and I still have trouble with that hurting in my collar bone and in my shoulder blade. It seems that no matter what I do I annot work that out. My comment on the slim fast is this: Chocolate Royale. That is the ONLY one I like. The vanilla and strawberries and cream sounded wonderful, until I got a mouthful of it....and the cappuchino....OMG...I actually took a big drink of this on the way to work, stopped and spit it out. I nearly gagged. I got home and threw every one of those in the trash! The water is easier for me to drink at work than at home. I love the Crystal light peach tea and lemonade...and Walgreens carry a Wrigley's pink lemonade. Much easier to get down than just water. It is extrememly hard for me to NOT drink with my meals. I was one of those that drank a gallon of tea when eating. and that is HARD!!! Also, eating SLOW. I have been in fast paced jobs all my life and we eat when we can and fast. that has been an obstacle, too. For those of you that have been banded....two questions...is is hard for you to burp..lol and the other one is Hiccups. They are pretty uncomfortable. Do they hurt ya'll? I am not loosing as fast as I want, but yet, I have not been filled yet. ( on the 8th!) I hope that helps some and I can go back to exercising more then too, and I know that will help. Cooking for my family is tough. When I am grilling or making dinner, the smell nearly KILLS me. If I could stop my sense of smell I would be alright! lol. Sitting down with them to eat, with them eating a full course meal andme not is not as bad as the smell!!!!! It is almost too much to bear...but I don;t think putting a clothes pin on my nose is the solution. Once again, I t hink ya'll are great and I am gonna try better to get on here! Do ya'll have myspace?? here is my addy: ttp://www.myspace.com/99481163 talk to ya'll later! paula
