Does anyone feel like they have lost too much weight?
Thickhawk commented on Thickhawk's blog entry in Thickhawk's Blog
Hello everyone thx for commenting! I will try the shakes. I have done some research on weight gain shakes. so far I have tried whey protien powder, with oatmeal, banana, peanut butter, and whole milk. it was pretty tasty so I will contiune those in between meals and see how that works. @SqueakyWheel&Ethyl thanks for the kind words, my family and friends all say i look great and dont look sickly skinny as I think I do.. you have a hand full of folks that think i lost too much weight but I am sure they have said it to others and not me. I am actually a little smaller than I was in high school and I have always been very curvy (thick or thin) but now I am starting to see the curvy vanish and that's bothering me more than anything. I guess this is why they say it's important to attend support groups and ect after but I have failed to do so. I have also not been taking my vit. like I should and I also stopped drinking the protien shakes. maybe that all played a part in me loosing too much. I have also checked on my BMI and I currently at a normal and healthy weight just struggling to see that in the mirror! -
Does anyone feel like they have lost too much weight?

I know this may sound crazy but I am struggling right now and have asked this question before. Does anyone feel like they have lost too much weight? I am having body image issues/concerns. every time I look in the mirror I see a sickly skinny figure. I am now trying to figure out how I can gain back about 15 lbs to feel comfortable in my own skin and fill out my clothes better. I started out at 219 1 yr ago. I am now 136 and looking too thin. any suggestions on how to gain with the sleeve? it's hard for me to get in decent size portions. Hope this doesnt offend anyone. Thx -
Wish the weight loss would stop now!

I hope that I have not offened anyone on this site or hope that I am not sounding like I am complaining and being a brat but I really never thought I would be at this place in my life where I feel like I have lost too much weight. I feel uncomfortable when certain people I know make comments like "ok stop now, please don't lose anymore" or "I swear every time I see you, you look smaller and smaller" Eating more is not working for me, the problem is I can't get in enough food to put on any pounds. I guess I have no other choice but to let it run it's course, I have been doing research and I have read that you lose your most weight within the 1st yr after surgery then MOST people gain back at least 15-20 lbs. -
I know it sounds crazy and I NEVER thought I would ever feel this way but I want the weight loss to stop! my original goal was to get down to 160 lbs Well I am currently at 141lbs when I started my journey I was 219 lbs. I am not happy right now I find myself getting depressed at times, I am having bady image issues. I try to tell myself it's only because I have gotten used to seeing myself one way for so long that I am not used to seeing myself thinner but to me I am starting to look sickly this is the wildest experience ever! for yrs I was so unhappy with my weight it was constantly on my mind every day all day now that I have lost the weight I now feel like I have lost too much weight and right back in the same boat about feeling uncomfortable in m own skin! going shopping used to be hard because everything was too small now everything is too big! I was only happy for a few months with this weight loss. I am actually trying to gain back at least 10 lbs. Is anyone else going thru anything like this?

For all you post-ops out there I noticed the scale has stopped moving for me. I am concerned, I was sleeved on 4/2 and has only lost a total of 25lbs. Has anyone had this problem? I am trying to figure out a way to get the scale moving again.

Yes it is normal went through the exact same thing...had my surgery 4/2. it will get better soon. the sipping was a challenge for me as well but it will all get better.

Well if I were you I would not tell anyone at work. I chose nnot to tell ANYONE no one knows but my mother father & husband! people can be so judgemental. I am 3 weeks out and have lost 23 lbs so far and it's very noticeable! folks are asking lots of questions but I tell them oh just liquid diet then eat a very small dinner. See the comment that one person made "oh you are doing that" why even make that comment. sure folks will see the difference in your eating habits and get suspicious but oh well let them! sounds like you have already let the cat out of the bag though, -
I am 8 days out and had to go to the ER on day 5 out! I waited for 7 hrs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was worried about blood clots because I was told not to lay around a lot and I did, I actually laid around more than i moved, laying around was the only time I felt no pain. I must admitt there has been a few cry spells and a little bit of regret. I want to to just drink water reguarly soooooooooooooo bad! this sipping mess is frustrated but I am so affraid of bumping. I just can't wait until I fully recover. I am glad to hear you are doing better.

I had the same feeling! drove me crazy, I am 8 days out and it has gotten better so give or take I say about 10 days.

Sounds good to me, I am 6 days out and not getting no where near that much in. I barley get in 25 grams of protein a day. I sip sip sip affriad of dumping! I also noticed I have not had a B movement since my surgery and I am worried. I also noticed I am getting dark rings around my eyes and I REALLY don;t like that. I guess it's from not getting in enough protein. I am trying today to get in as much as I can.

good for you! I can't wait to feel normal again. I am 6 days out and having a hard time! I have been straving...what happened to the hunger thing going away??? well it didn't work for me. My family has no clue that I have had the surgery and they are inviting me to dinner OMG it's gonna be hard. They are not used to me not eating, they will suspect something LOL Anyway, I have not had a B movement since my surgery and I am a little concerned. Any suggestions on what I should to to have movement?

I meant I am on week 1 of the liquid diet!
-
Wow! having my surgery April 2nd as well, on the 2 week liquid diet. I must admit it has been hard, this is day 6 I broke and ate yesterday! I never seen where someone wrote or admitting to eating at least once while on the two week liquid diet. I know it was wrong and I feel sooooooo guity and affraid I may have meesed up my chance. BUT I am 213 lbs I was thinking in my mind my liver might not be that big. I have 8 days left and will not break again! I have faith that I may still have a chance to shrink my liver shoot, i have already lost 4 lbs in 5 days from the liquid diet. affraid if I lose too much they may tell me I no longer meet the guidlines or weight to have the surgery since i am already borderline anyway.
