  1. I weigh every day, as I like to know what my body is doing. How does it correlate with what I have eaten, and my progress so far. I don't fixate on the numbers, but sure get excited when I lose. When I gain, I often say "ok, that sucks, next will be better". I don't get upset. Normal functions cause weights to vary from day to day. Every time I weigh myself it is a surprise to me haha. Btw, I am still pre-op.
  2. Since my surgeon has recommended rny for me, I feel I am a little unsure of what to expect when it comes to stalls. According to my research, for sleevers there seems to be a pattern with when people stall. I have found that the most common stalls occur at 3 weeks, 2 months (about 1 week), 5-6 months, and varies considerably after 6 months, with an average of half the weight lost in the post six months as was lost in the previous six months. Most stalls last usually 2 weeks to 1 month, with the longest stall I have read being 6 months. My question, and I do have one, is, are there any typical stalls for gastric bypass? Ok, I didn't realize I needed to add a disclaimer every time I write something. Disclaimer: under no circumstances do I feel that these typical stalls that occurred for you will occur for me. There are many posts a day that ask about people getting freakish about stalls. The point of this thread is to help everyone who goes trough a stall, to understand that stalls do happen, and happen often. I will follow my surgeons guideline to a T, so do not worry that I am trying to follow YOUR guideline.
  3. II am trying to gain some realistic stats for the weight loss. I would really like your help. Please provide: 1. Height 2. Starting highest weight 3. Surgery weight 4. Goal weight and/or current weight 5. Length of time to reach goal weight (edit: or length I time to reach current weight) 6. Age I know we should not compare ourselves to others, however I am interested in the standard deviation and mean of weight loss in comparison to height. There are so many that feel like slow losers, and I am wanting to really look into the numbers. Is it really a slow loss, or are you right on track based on weight loss percentages.
  4. I you find after you have lost weight, there is more friction eternally your thighs? Currently they rub, but are so big that they don't really move haha. But after you lose weight, so you get more pain?

    Coconut Oil

I use mine mixed with sugar and a bit if salt to make a scrub. Love it. But I only use it for beauty as it is so high in saturated fats! Yikes!
  6. I also wanted to mention to everyone, like I said in my original post: there are so many people who feel like they are slow losers, and I am personally wanting to look into the numbers and percentages. Are people really experiencing a slow loss based on the averages. It is my prediction that people are not slow losers and are on track based on their height, starting weight and time out ratios. This is not a professional study, just my own curiosity. Since a concern has been brought up regarding my use of data, please feel free to message me, and you data will not be used. I do however intend to provide my findings to you if you have any questions please feel free to message me, and I will address them specifically in a non public forum. It is not my intention to start a fight here. There are so many forums each week that ask "how much have you lost, am I a slow loser etc" I am just trying to user stand that. Just a reminder, I am PRE-op and will be having surgery on Halloween. My curiosity wants me to get as much data as possible for my own benefit, and If others want the data results too, I am not Ethan happy to share it. Thank you for helping me understand this data set by proving me with your data. Cheers!

    Any October surgeries out there...

I am getting the bypass not the sleeve as I have really bad acid reflux. There is evidence to suggest that the sleeve causes/worsens acid reflux. So to me, it's a no brainier. No acid reflux--> rny. Haha
