I had already done my 6 month nut visits, the psych, the EKG, Chest X-Ray, H Pylori. The coordinator said the only thing left was a clearance from a pulmonologist because I have sleep Apnea. Since I received the approval today, I will find out anything else on my visit on Wednesday. -

I just got the call from the surgeon's office. I've been approved. I will have my first office visit next Wed and they will give me my surgery date then. God is soooooooooooooooooo Good.

I have Cigna. My paperwork was faxed over on Thursday. Today, I got a letter from Cigna ( copy of letter for Surgeon ) asking for more info. Have you tried emailing the coordinator? Mine contacts me thru email mostly. -

I have a Ninja and a juicer. I like making carrot juice and adding unflavored protein to it. -
I already have "half-timers" - half the time I forget and the other half I just don't rememeber. The only thing I do not want to forget is why I am having the surgery and to never get back to my obesity.

I am grateful that my psych had the bypass surgery 7 years ago, so she knows what she was talking about. She kept asking me if I was sure I wanted the sleeve and why. I told her I wanted something that could not be reversed; did not want the malabsorption and the nausea.

I am allergic to Tylenol and ibuprofen. I can't have aspirin or Aleve after surgery. I guess I will just have to endure. -

I would like any size that removes the ghrenlin hormone. But, the smaller the better for me. Easier to fill and be full. -
Post-Op Abdominal Binders

I will ask my dr if I will have an abdominal binder put on me after surgery, if not, I will certainly visit babies-r-us. -
Caffeinated coffee has a dehydrating effect. I personally take a cup of decaf coffee, add chocolate protein powder, and ice cubes and make my own mocha frappe.

As far as mental conditions, I am bi-polar. The psych told me bi's do not do well because they stop taking their meds when they feel better. So, that is something to remember. Since I was only diagnosed 5 years ago, I know what "even" feels like and would never want to go back to highs and lows.

I do the fast every January. I don't know about post-op; most of the vegetables have carbs. I loved the Ezekiel bread, but I am guessing that is a no-no post surgery.

No matter how hard I try, I cannot get below 40 carbs. Gosh, even vegetables have them. I take fiber capsules for constipation, they have carbs too -

Yes, I had completed 5 months when the Cigna change came into effect. I went to the 6th meeting anyway; I learned alot in those meetings. My paperwork was submitted on Thursday and now, I am awaiting my results. The waiting is the killer. -
Mine sent me a questionnaire to fill out pre-visit. Mine was done over 2 days and each of the days I took a test (personality and health). The first session, we discussed my questionnaire; the second, the results of my tests. She mainly asked me about my support system and handling family stresses.

I had my annual physical on Tuesday and they did the EKG, Chest X-Ray and H Pylori test then. He will fax the results to the surgeon when I am approved ( info was submitted to Cigna yesterday). -

I lost 17 pounds in the 6 month supervised nutrition meetings. Since then, not an ounce. I am sure I will lose more once I am on the liquid diet. But it is frustrating to eat way less, watch carbs and the scale doesn't move. -
