    Hi From Texas

My husband and I also had surgeries like 3 mos apart. He had gastric bypass though and was also over 400 lbs. It has been over 2 years and it has definitely changed our lives completely, in all aspects. I wish you all the best and may God be with you all through the process. We had our as Baylor Dallas.
  2. I am feeling better each day. People are now noticing the weight loss and I am happy. I am so close to my goal weight, I just can't wait to get there. I feel good at this weight but would love to loose a few more lbs.

    Do The Cravings Stop ?

I do have cravings for sweets, carbs, and crunchy stuff. The cravings don't go away per say, but you now try to make better decisions as to what to eat. I don't always do it, but I try. Is true about the dehydration too, I've noticed that when I don't get enough fluids in, I tend to feel hungry. But then the more fluids I drink the hungrier I feel. NOt sure what the deal is there! anyone have insight on that issue?
  5. I had surgery on 12/15 and I had revision from lapband to sleeve. I have had a very slow weight loss, but I did have a low BMI also. I've lost 29lbs so far, and I do stall for 2-3 weeks at a time. Last couple of months I think I've lost a combined of 6-7 lbs. But it is coming off and I feel great and loosing inches! I will keep fighting!
  6. Hello, My name is Ana and I had sleeve done on December 15th. I previously had lap band done in December of 2009 managed to loose 70 lbs, but was stuck for 8 mos and had port complications the whole time. I am glad I did the sleeve so far, my recovery has totally gone way better than my prior 3 surgeries this past couple of years. I hope to finally reach my goal of 130 lbs. I am 5'1 and 34 yrs old. I am happily Married and have a 15 yr old daughter and a 9 yr old son. I hope that we can be a support to each other in this forum!

Hello New To The Site :)

I had my band removed and 6 weeks later had sleeve. And I think I have had a slow weight loss since of a low BMI, but it has been a steady loss. I usually go 2-3 weeks without loosing on the scale and then loose 2-4 lbs and then again 2-3 weeks without loosing etc. I can tell you though that I have been loosing inches more than the scale moves. So I can't say I am not loosing because the inches and sizes are going down constantly. Now I have not exercised and have not been faithful with my protein intake, so if you step up more than I do, you might loose faster. Good luck!

    Need Opiniond About The Band?

I have had lapband procedure and had it removed and now have the gastric sleeve. Here is my doctors webpage and she describes the procedures. There are also videos. You can search online and find a lot of information on both surgeries. http://www.kennedybariatrics.com/procedures.html
