Tracy OMG, and I didn't like HB eggs before... LOL I am leaving for vacation today, from hearing how much everyone loves their magic bullets, my mom bought me one as my "I'm sorry I can't be there - good luck" present. I am going to take it on vacation with me along with my protien powder. I have decided I'm going to live on shakes for breakfast, lunch and then have a salad for dinner, or real food a few nights for dinner. I hope it works! I am not bringing my scale with me so I won't have a clue if it works or not but would be so much easier than bringing chicken and lettuce and is more filling than lettuce so I hope I won't want to eat junk if i'm full. Anyway, I'm not leaving until tonight so I'll check in throughout the day and of course I'm bringing my laptop with me to check in daily So excited, when I get back it is my turn!!!! If I don't get to post in the morning while I am gone, I want all the other April Banders for the next week to know you will all be in my thoughts and prayers

Terry so glad to hear you are doing so well. See posting first night like that, I knew you would do great. Sara I am so sorry to hear what a horrible time you had. My dr. required quit smoking for 6mos I think. I am glad you are feeling better and I am sure it will all be worth it! Good Luck to all of today's banders. I will be thinking of you all

i only have to do 1 full day of liquid diet, nothing heavy and that was it, not the extreme as many others. I would call and find out just in case.

Lauraj sorry I missed that part... we actually had a body piercing conversation last week i think... so here is the deal, they do want them to come out so you can take them out the day of or if your are worried about them closing up you can get retainers and put them in. I have them too. I had mine changed out with sergical stainless steel and might be able to leave them in - no cheap jewelery! something to do with shocks, swelling, and other issues. LOL good luck with that

I want to say goodnight to all my banding sisters and brothers. You are all in my thoughts tomorrow and every day. I have had a crazy few days so spend most of the time on here getting caught up. Everyone is so wonderful and I love seeing that you are all getting home the same day and doing well! Ok the panties thing... cracking me up! I never thought about it. and thank goodness I won't have to worry about the other thing... but i do have to worry about how i'm going to get my body jewelry out, which is almost as bad - LOL

Yes, just look at the containers because of few of them had tons of carbs and/or sugar. But hey for the price! I can manage that

Lauraj23 that is so funny, I had to tell my best friend this horrible story because I'm going away with her thursday. I am bringing jelly beans with me LOL Tracy I got some protien powder 23g protien and 1g carb at Walmart, Whey Vanilla flavor, I tried it this am to see how it taste, pretty good so I am going to get more. Big thing of it was $10 which I didn't think was too bad. I do want to get some non-flavored so I can cook with in the future, but the Vanilla will work during my liquid stage

you are cracking me up. but I am so glad that I am on a liquid diet the day before and don't have to worry about that part of it! Here is a very personal but funny story : I too can't go in public, or anywhere but home, so in Feb, I went to a funeral in VA and stayed with my cousin. I went Wed morning while I was home but left thursday at 9am and was so anxious i couldn't go before we left. Friday came and went, and by sat afternoon I had such pain I couldn't stand up and then everyone came to party in our room and couldn't go when i needed to - so it got worse. My cousin tried everything for me, finally on the road on the way home (10 hr drive) she stopped and got me sugar free jelly bellies - well they work, I thought I was going to die, i was stopping at every bathroom along the way, the first bathroom had a big blower heater so the noise calmed me down a little but the rest of them did not, but honestly - nothing I could do about it. I'm leaving for a 10 day vacation Thursday... Keep your fingers crossed. :faint:

Good morning You guys are cracking me up this morning. But I so know what you are talking about. I have nothing that fits me and it is strange here too, one day 60 the next 30 so my room is a MESS. I put something on, want to puke take it off and throw it on the floor. I went to visit a March bander yesterday and brought her a bag of my 18-20 work clothes since I am not working for one, and when I do work it will be with a construction type company and not business office. So my closets are getting empty and it is depressing. I am almost there! and have a bag of size 16/18 summer clothes, that I hope to be in by this summer so I better get motivated here!

Good morning everyone! WHAT A GREAT DAY YESTERDAY. I am so amazed and proud of all of you, home same day and feeling so great! My Dr. keeps you in overnight all the time and I can't go home until I can drink 1ltr of water and keep it down. I hate not knowing what time my surgery is, I won't know until Friday the 13th, and I'll be anxiously calling from the road, as I will be traveling home that day. I am just so proud of you all!

Wow what a great day and a great group of people, what wonderful support Tomorrow brings group 2 ... YIPEE. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers I am going to be away for 9 days, I have to bring my laptop, I'll go through withdrawl and don't want to do that, I will be home on Saturday the 14th and having surgery on the 16th! So i Can't stay away from the thing that keeps me going and so positive God Bless and all have a great night

Stay strong, I met with my friend who had surgery today and she said it gets better, Will all be worth it in the end!

Terry You are strong and fantastic and all your kind words of encouragement helped me to make decisions about what to do in my path. You will know when the moment is there if you should tell them or find a kind way to explain you cannot get sick right now for what ever reason. You will know. Stay strong - you are fantastic and it will all be good I am having a bad weight week too but I think PMS is coming upon me... LOL I guess better this week than the day before surgery

HAPPY APRIL EVERYONE!!!!! SO IT IS FINALLY HERE .... I AM SO VERY EXCITED, FOR EVERYONE, YOU HAVE ALL BECOME A WONDERFUL PART OF MY FAMILY - OK BANDING INTERNET FAMILY. LOL BUT STILL FAMILY. where else can you share such details and feelings -I know that not many of my friends and family understand lots of these feelings. I am starting to see myself clear now and I love where I am going. So to everyone Having surgery in the morning, All the good energy to you, get home and well and fill us all in on your progress.:clap2: TRY TO RELAX AND ENJOY THE DAY

I don't have a pre-surgery diet per say, but my dr did want me to do a liquid diet the day before to make sure my stomach is empty not swollen. I can have full liquids but didn't want me to eat solid food. I hope that helps guide you, You are the only one who can make that decision if you were not required to be on a pre-op diet. Good Luck

Jennifer Thank you - a few weeks ago I had a slight meltdown about all this, but I just know how great I feel about all this and for the most part, I know everything is going to be so much better in my life physically and mentally. And I am so excited about that I want to share that energy with all of you. You guys have become my banding family and it is just nice to beable to share with people who are going through the same thing. I went with a freind I met locally and she was so calm in the waiting room and i couldn't control myself, I was just so excited for her.

Terry You hit the nail on the head, you are wonderful and being one of the originals on this thread for april 07, I am so excited for you this week, I feel that We have been doing this together. This is the greatest group of people and it is so nice to be able to put your thought, fears, or just silly stories out there and have people relate and really understand. To all you with unsupportive DH, I am so very sorry. My DBF is not going with me but he has to work and is going to try to do his best, but I just don't understand why you ladies are not getting support. Are they afraid of you all being stronger, healthier and life changes? I said last month that I know this surgery is going to make or break us and I don't want it to break us, but if it does, I will be healthier and more confident, but it is an emotional trip no matter how you look at it! No you don't sound like a heacase - and fear, yes there is some, change is scary but does not always have to be bad. I am going up to my attic and getting down my skinny summer clothes that have been up there forever and hanging them on my closet door to see me in them again. It is funny, I had my dream this morning, I woke up so calm and peaceful seeing myself on the beach in a small white dress getting married and not changing my name (MY relationship is not the greatest so I never say myself married) Isn't that funny, no name change for my children, water and marriage! How is that for a dream. I actually wanted to go back to sleep to get the happily ever ending. LOL
