    Hello all just checking in. horrible food day, I had my normal breakfast, 1/2 pt of eggplant. picked at some pepperoni so I decided to make 4oz chicken and some lettuce. don't have a clue how many calories I had Anyway - i'm just getting home from work and going to shower and go to bed. Terry, no she didn't show!!!!! what kind of pres is that going to make? So, I'm kind of happy, I'm still holding 221 and I got that special monthly visit today, I'm usually good for 5lbs with that... Lets pray. LOL I will keep you posted on some research on the cruises or any place else I can find. Throw ideas out there and I'll get the info. Going to six flags with my daughter tomorrow and then both kids and myself are going to drive ins. I'm so excited.

    Jennifer yes, thank you I did get it either Friday or yesterday, I just got my mail from the past 2 crazy days. I am going to try to scan the info into a word document and I'll post it so that anyone who wants it can post it. I just had a 350 cal breakfast. 1 pita - 2eggs 1/4 c shredded cheese.(80cals!)1/2 c zuccini. so very full Terry- yes can you imagine. band or no band, 13-1400 cals is what a person my size should have and maintain to lose 2lbs a week. Funny how 3 months ago I would have thought THAT'S IT?????? now I'm thinking holy crap... HOW AM I EVERY GOING TO EAT THAT MUCH????? Well, I have not lost an ounce since I increased but I'm going to stick with it for a couple weeks... what is the worst thing that could happen, I don't lose anything else? I would be nuts but I do know I'm working hard and seeing results. Although, I felt like everyone was looking at me as a total fat a$$ yesterday, I thought I looked cute when I left. the 18 skirt is even a tad big but a 16 would have been too small. I forgot my camera so I didn't get pics, but... my mom is here and she is a camera nut!!! Anyway, I'm off to mow the lawn, it is a mess from all the rain - and maybe off to the gym and to work at 3. tomorrow is a six flags day with my daughter, her friend, and my sister. she is not going to bring her young kids and I'm leaving my 3 year old with my mom and her kids, so I hope to have fun - and tomorrow night we are going to go to the drive-ins to see Ratattoui and License to Wed. My son's first drive in. I hope you all have a great day! I will be back later oh... as far as relaxing vacation.... I am on a mission to find something this week. Cruise might be so much fun but very expensive for what it is - and for a family for those who would bring them.... might put some people into shock (MYSELF included) I am going to do some research into a spa type of resort, that would have things to do for everyone, kids and the VIOLETS - and for those with supporting spouses....something for them just in case they don't want to put up with us ... LOL Anyone have suggestions? I'll do all the leg work. I think I'm going to be putting together a family reunion for the week of the 4th next year to Ocean City or somewhere close to there.

    Hi guys just wanted to say good mornning. Gina - I'm checking out some info, my mom offered to keep the kids so I can go and have fun. I found an 8 day cruise out of NYC for $749 per person or $899 for an ocean view. I have a local travel agent, I'm going to get some info, I have been researching and I had a friend take a cruise and it was not all inclusive and she spend a fortune on food and drinks. If I was going alone, I might consider vegas for a weekend - I would have to be very drugged or wasted. I would so love to take a cruise Anyway I'm holding 221 - I couldn't eat a thing there yesterday. I tried a burger but it was so dry I almost died. I ended up having sunchips and chinese eggplant when I got to work at 7. Well, once I wake up I'll catch up on post, I got home at midnight and my mom is here so I've been up for ever it seems. I need coffee

    OMG MIA for 1 day and I missed so much Terry- that is horrible about your friend. I guess it can always be worse. Judy - glad the garage sale is over and you had a great day. Everyone else. HI So - today was my nutritionist appt. I actually had a good and producitive visit. First, the muscle retaining water thing is 100% true. and I am most likely am not drinking enough although I feel like I'm going to float away, but even though I'm not sweating, the water is still evaporating through my pores..... So that explains alot. Then she has her new dietician with her and proceeds to tell her how hard I am on myself (Like that is a shock to everyone right?) and after taking all my info into consideration. I should be eating 1300-1400 cals a day to lose 2lbs a week and I was in shut down mode and that is why have not lost since liquids, but that either way, I've lost 17lbs since my last visit with her and she is way impressed. So I actually felt like some things were addressed and I know what I need to eat, how I'm going to do 1300 cals when I can hardly do 1000 I don't know but I'll figure it out. Last, I was so very happy, my bp was 110/70 .... no meds in months!!! I don't even know the last time I was that low! Pamela, I am so ready for my picnic with Hillary! I am going to bring my camera, maybe I can get a good pic of me. Have a jean mini skirt, white flip flops and I'm not sure what top yet, I am wearing a T-shirt for my friend who is running for legislator. I am excited - and almost look great. Ya know what does kill me, tonight my step sister came into work, she is ohhhhhhhhhh a size 6-8 on a bad day and shows me how big her pants are getting because of her detox diet. I was kind of pissed off and said "I've lost 60lbs" and her reply was I guess I can't top that. Not you can tell, you look great... nothing... I need motivation... I need to hear it.... Anyway, I'm going up to bed, very long day, I've been running since 8am!

    Well ladies i only had 900 cals today breakfast pita 2slices cheese 2 turkey sausage lunch 3 chicken tenders w/hotsauce dinner 2 eggs 1 pita 1/2 cup zuccini 1/2 c cheese 1/2 c ice cream I was worried about the cals in my chicken tenders, but i still got a variety. I have to go to dr in the am for fasting bloodwork, so that is why I had icecream with dinner. LOL Tracy you are sooooo funny, but great way to look at it. I was just reading an article about belly fat/weight loss - and it said 60mins each day alternating weights and exercise. I have already established this so I guess in August my challange will be for cardio to be at 60mins and not 30mins

    I am stuck, I am following the rules the best I know but just seem to be going up. I am going to talk to my nutritionist tomorrow and hopefully get some good advice this time. Tracy & Judy - I think I like the Violets rules best. what Judy says!!!!!!!!
  9. I have lost friends as a result of my surgery and gained friends through local support groups but would not change anything and if I had to do it all over, I would do it exactally the same. It is very emotional and a head trip some times, but I feel better than I have in years, working out every day, walking without feeling like I'm going to die - aerobics, playing with kids, you name it I want to do it. I wish you the best of luck

    Hey there ladies, man, i vanish for a day and so much going on. It was hair day at my bff's house. We did the top of mine spice and the bottom is jet black. I love this color. the last one was my winter color and was too dark for this time of year (that was in the photo I posted) you almost couldn't tell I had 2 tone hair. Anyway Jennifer thank you so much for posting that info... what book was it? and can I order the book? Kat, Terry - and everyone I missed thanks for your support, I actually have backed off the workouts too, Monday I did total weights, Tuesday took the day off, Wed I did 30 mins on treadmill and arms, Today 30 mins and legs - and tomorrow I'm going to treadmill and do a full body workout and take weekend off. You gals are doing FANTASTIC I really can't complain too much 40lbs in 3 months is great and my friend gave me a pr of small 18's capris today that fit a little snug but could tell was a size 16. I'll take that, I never thought I would ever get to that point again. I hope everyone is having a good day, I'm going to have a veggie omlet for dinner. and tomorrow am I have an 11am appt so I'll fill you all in.

    lol can you tell I'm in panic mode. I know that I need these things. I will stick with it again today day 3. Maybe I just need to knock off some cals. I go to my insane nutritionist tomorrow, at least I have a detailed journal to bring to her so she can advise. if she does not I will speak to my Dr. on the 14th when I go.

    Alright TracyK what is your secret I gained another lb, I was at 219 and now back up to 222. I don't think I'm making bad choices - I don't get it! I'm now eating some whole grains and fruit and vegies and I'm gaining!!!!! Can I take the bridge. I'm ready to do protein shakes for a few days again - I am following the rules, I am even following an old diet that I was given at the beginning. I can't gain - that is just not acceptable!

    Hi all, I'm home from work, beat. anyway, I'm off tomorrow so I'll post some info on the Curise out of Norfolk. I am going to my friends house in the morning after the gym so I can color her hair and I convinced her to seperate mine for me so I can color it. the top is going to have a little more red it in and the bottom 1/2 is jet black, I always do it myself, I just need someone to pull them apart for me.     Good thing I went to the bathroom before I sat down to catch up, I would have wet myself! I got boy shorts - I don't know If i'm going to like them but they were the only thing I even thought might work without looking like grannie panties. You never know who might see them.... ONLY KIDDING! ok maybe not... I'm so angry at dbf... it doesn't hurt anymore when he blows me off, it pissed me off... maybe that is a good sign?????

    Michelle I love that crazy cook bood. I like strange soups and stuff and it even has nutritional info for each one based on ingredients. My fav is sausage & black bean stew, kids love the mac & cheese. Last night I had it out and made chicken & rice for my dad & my kids. I have made beef strogenoff, and the list just keeps going on. chicken tortia soup is what we want to try next! I love spicey food. Anyway - I am nice and clean and ready to get to work - I'm off to go get some suck me in undies to wear sat to the picnic. just so that I'm not worried about my fat belly and actually have a good time I hope everyone has a great afternoon and I'll check in when I get home

    Ok Terry - you made me get my stuff together and plan my food for the rest of the day, and I'm glad, there are things I eat with no calories so since I'm working... here is my menu for the day breakfast 2 turkey sausage (breakfast) 2 slices 2% cheese 1 pita total cal 265 protein 22 6fiber Lunch / nachos 15 sunchips 1/2 c refried beans 1/4 c 2% shredded cheese salsa & sour cream total cal 385 protein 18 fiber 7 Dinner - chicken salad 1pc chicken (approx 2.5oz) lettuce provo cheese prunes total cal 350 protein 14 fiber 3+ I am sure I'll have ice cream when i get home 110 cals total for the day 1100 60g protein 16g+ fiber that is a lot of food for me but I am getting a variety and measuring everything I have turkey italian sausage and sourkraut in the crockpot cooking for tomorrow.

    Ok you are right, but I have backed off the workouts, haven't you all noticed my numbers are not changing as quickly. Althought i need to update them right now. I didn't have eggs with breakfast this am, that was where I was going to cut the cals. I had a pita with cheese and turkey sausage - 300cals 22g protein I can't wait to go on friday to be told what to do - I think then I'll feel better. anyhoo... I am going to shower and get some thing done around here before I have to go to work. today is a rain day and is going to be all week.

    TracyKS - yes, if our bodies are all the same I guess this would be much easier. LOL I am going to address the water thing with my nutritionist. and I just realized next week is my week, so I like to think that would be part of it too, but by time I go to work at 4 I usually weigh less than I did in the am. Yes I check because of the water issues at work, I'm trying to monitor so I can discuss Friday. Off to the gym - be back

    TracyK - go you! I don't get it, i'm back to 221 this am, i'm bouncing 3 lbs. I'm going o cut cals back to 1000 today, which should be easy since i ate so much for me yesterday. It was so hot and humid. I do retain at work and drink excessively. I can't wait to go to the dr on friday. I'm frustrated and want a miracle - I'm obviously willilng to do what I need to, i just don't know what that is Morning all, crawling out of bed, it is raining so very hard here, perfect day to sleep but i'm up, i have to hit the bank, pay a bill, and hit the gym this am. I think i am missing working out every day because I'mm falling back into my bad habit of sleeping quickly

    funny, everyone seems to be in the 900 calorie range and here I'm trying hard to increase mine. I think I made very healthy choices today but I need to do something, I found my very original paperwork and at my old weight I needed to eat 1500 cals to lose 2lbs a week, so worth a try at this point. I don't know I am just beat, so off to bed. I think I took too many days off the gym, today included because i spend most of the morning in the bathroom. Anyway. I'll be heading out early in the am terry - i should hear by the end of the week on that job.

    Hello everyone wow busy night, I love that broccoli salad, thanks for posting that! well, it died down so I'm home early, stinks for money but I just didn't feel well today. I ate my dinner and drank lots, lets just see if increasing my calories did any good.. I definately had a variety today if nothing else. Now it is time to relax, i'm getting up and hiting the gym in the am
