What Types Of Clothes Got You Through The Rapid Weight Loss?
Kiki Von Moonshine replied to BKMama's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Luckily I have from size 14 to 24/26 My current size. I at least have an idea at what weight what clothing size will be so I can at least tell myself that once I am at 195 lbs. I can start buying new clothes, which is almost 100 away. I usually buy inexpensive clothes, especially since surgery is soon. I intend on staying in my 1x until I'm a small xl, and buy tops every two sizes or more. I feel its the pants that tend to look a little sloppy when they are too big, but if I do go to school this semester than I will be forced to look half way decent. I can get jeans for $10 on sale so I can afford to buy some jeans in sizes 12, 10, 8. Once I get near to my size goal thats when I intend on paying a bit more for some super trendy clothes. -
Yes. Lol to Pdxman's fire comment.

I see you have the same doctor as I. What happened in regards of the insurance. I had health plus, then they joined with amerigroup about a month ago. How long did it take them to approve your surgery from the date you handed it/faxed it to Jessie? -

Cool. Thanks everyone. It looks like one week is average. Just trying to get an idea of the possible dates I can get for surgery, after my last PCP visit. -
Help! I Was Having A Good Day But Now I Hear This...my Insurance Won't Cover My Surgery
Kiki Von Moonshine replied to Alexandra39's topic in Insurance & Financing
It started off as medicaid alone then eventually chose a medicaid managed program (Health plus, affinity, etc) So in a nut shell its still medicaid when I answer the question "What type of insurance you have?" by any one in a hospital/clinic etc. -

African American Sleevers
Kiki Von Moonshine replied to ATLGirl's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I think its natural to have fears of the physical changes when dealing with weightloss. While I can agree that a large majority of black men might like "thickness" in a woman, not all do. Whats most important is trying to overcome fears that both partners might have. Communication is important, honest and open communication. I feel that a partner should accept your size regardless, especially if its improving you, i.e. eliminating comorbities, or the positive physical changes. Losing weight is not something breaking up over so tell that partner to chill out and sit down somewhere. -

Im all about health first. Being thick doesnt always equate to unhealthy. I also realize that not everyones thick is the same. A YT video I watched showed women who the creater thought was thick, and a woman no bigger than 150 lbs at about 5"7 was considered thick. I dont really use the term to describe a persons physique its too varying. I do get the point you are trying to make though. -

Anyone Have A Breast Lift/reduction Before Wls?
Kiki Von Moonshine replied to Kiki Von Moonshine's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was thinking it might be easier to get approval for a reduction at this size, as opposed to later, but my major concern is will it still look perky when I lose weight. My boobies are 44 G/H and was thinking about reducing them to a DD cup. I dunno, because Id like to still have breasts when at goal which is at least 125 lbs away. Im sure it would make better sense to fix them later.
