Psych Eval.. Maybe Too Easy. Your Thoughts?
Kiki Von Moonshine posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Okay so weeks ago I booked a psychiatrist that my insurance covered. I did mention to the receptionist what it was for. Went there today. He asked basic mental health questions, I.e. voices, depression, familt history of etc. So he documented what he asked in his comp then told me I was sane enough for surgery. He printed that I was cleared and that was that. I thought I would have to come back but then he told me he was the psych that gave meds only. He wasn't the one with the couch and you go into details about your life, etc. He did give me a number to the place he recommends if I need that type. So now I'm like uhhh is this good enough. Im going to bring the letter to my surgeons secretary to look at. -

Psych Eval.. Maybe Too Easy. Your Thoughts?

I guess what I really need to see is a copy of what peoples clearance letter looked like. I wont be able to see the secretary of the surgeon until the first. I dunno. Its more about having the right things than a lengthy eval. Even the secretary was expecting me to need a second appt because thats what she told me in the beginning. First was suppose to be a thirty minute fill out paperwork, then second visit was suppose to be about an hour of talking. Hmmm.. -

There's another forum that has some NYU patient. I don't know if it's the same doctor though. -

Maybe I should post a photo looking for my body twin. That would be a great post. I'm going to clean though so if anyone wants to start one they can. -

Foxbins I tried to see your pics but your avatar is of your living room I believe. Is anyone having issues with Lilyslim? I am trying to either quote or check out someones profile and it opens up a lilyslim page. ARGH! -

What I really want to see is someone who started out with the same build as me. I'm trying to avoid going through the photo albums to look at befores and after. I would have posted in there but there is no feature such as that. Oh well. Thanks anywho. -

I checked the last site and although I put a height and weight I wanted to see it seems so different. It seems like although you can chose different shape it doesn't help with the frame. Some women look super small, and some women look bigger. I'm going to look into the photographic chart. -

Is Anyone Unhappy With Their Sleeve?
Kiki Von Moonshine replied to 1cindy2's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Did you start at 164? How tall are you if you don't mind me asking? -
Curious as to how that came into play with the psych evaluation? I have always wanted to see a psychiatrist for awhile, but didn't have insurance. Now that I have the time, I figure why not. So I would love to talk about my issues with my therapist but I'm debating on if I should wait until AFTER surgery. Lol. I intend on telling the psych what they ask, and being truthful etc., I just don't want to be denied surgery for over sharing if you know what I mean? Long story short, in regards to the surgery nothing I want to chat about has anything to do with surgery or anything I can see as a possible issue.

Anyone Here That Get Boils, Or Now After Getting To Goal/near Goal Has Stopped?
Kiki Von Moonshine replied to Kiki Von Moonshine's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I will wait until I lose weight before I get any shots (EEEEK!) Prior to pregnancy it was near my monthly's then after they would come when they felt. Now that I'm a vegeterian they aren't as bad, and don't occur as often. I'd probably get them removed them if they came back. I'd start with one arm, because that just sounds like a painful surgery. -
Anyone Here That Get Boils, Or Now After Getting To Goal/near Goal Has Stopped?

Hi. I have had reoccuring boils since puberty, and for the most part they don't come as often do to some factors, however for me I know it's hormone/weight related. When I was 192, they were almost non existant. I recently was able to find the actual name of the condition (which has slipped my mind at the moment) but in a nut shell it stated that it's related to hormones, and stress. So, for those who had them before, did they stop once you lost weight? -
Are You Vlogging? Post Your Youtube Channel Here
Kiki Von Moonshine posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi. Anyone looking to follow people that are pre-op or post op? Post your youtube channel here, your stats including height, and include the date you are/were sleeved. I didn't get a date yet, but should be sleeved this July. My channel is watchmeloseit2012. I am 5'6 284. I wish I could edit my signature but Lilypie won't let me. It's possessed, I think. -
Not being able to drink plain water ever again, and how hard are chewable vitamins that it would be bad for the teeth? I got these questions (and probably more to come) from an interesting post in the Pre-Op section.

2 Questions: How Often Did You See The Nurtritionist, And What Happens In A Sleep Study, please Give Details?
Kiki Von Moonshine posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Can you describe what happens in a sleep study? Can I sleep on my belly flat? I am a belly sleeper and I can't imagine having to sleep on my back looking at the ceiling. I never done it. How many times did you see the nutritionist and what exactly should I expect besides what I would assume to be a conversation discussing what foods to eat, and trying to stay under a certain amount of calories. -

My c section didn't hurt. I do not know if it was my pain tolerance. After going through labor, which was the worst pain in my life, I think anything else was a breeze. -
Please Explain To Me...
Kiki Von Moonshine replied to Kiki Von Moonshine's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
What is the reason water or other things taste different? Is it a physical thing for some, meaning the sleeve hurts or aches when drinking or eating certain things? Does this feeling pass years, later (question for veteran sleevers?) I dont mind sweets tasting different because I dont eat much of that my main concern is water. Thats my go to drink as well as my new friend crystal light. -
When Did You Stop/start Buying Clothing?
Kiki Von Moonshine posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My surgery is in July, but I see a few cute items to wear now. I figured I won't fit it the way I want to and it's a winter item (cardigan.) When did you stop buying clothes at your pre-op weight? When did you buy clothes post? I see myself shopping at the thrift shop post. It's cheaper and I will be between sizes. I am excited not having to pay 40 for a decent top at the plus size stores! -

I know it was something that I managed to find on Webmd, or one of those doctor pages. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hidradenitis_suppurativa Found it. Lmao.. Yea, since puberty I had these. The most problem area is under my arms. Took me years of researching and could not find this until I asked publicly in one of my facebook groups ( I am no longer in) but I am thankful I found the group.
