How Long Until Your Self-Image Changed?
Kiki Von Moonshine replied to ShouldBlittler's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I can't wait for my surgery, and I have been smaller. I loved it. I think I will adjust fine. I'm going to lose my mind once I get into straight sizes. When I say lose my mind I think I'll be dressing up just to go to the corner store. Lol. I kind of already do. Hehe. -
I Have Clothing To Sell. Mostly Size 14 And 2X.
Kiki Von Moonshine replied to Kiki Von Moonshine's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I'm still pre-op and a size 22/24, lol. I'm 282 now, and at 190 I was a size 14, so it won't be fitting soon. My surgery isn't until the end of July. I'm doing a spring cleaning. I'm giving away some clothes locally, and selling some. I have been selling clothes for awhile now. I regret selling some of those because most were brand new or hard to get again. I didn't think about having surgery until recently. Oh well. -

What Causes Stalls Usually?
Kiki Von Moonshine replied to Kiki Von Moonshine's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Thank you. -
I usually hear that it just "happens" but does anyone have a scientific reasoning for it? What months do stall usually happen. I have been hearing that after six months there might be some slowing down, but I am sure that might have to do with starting weight/or near goal. So in short if you don't have the scientific answer for people that are one year post when did weight loss slow down for you? What month/weight? What part did exercise play? Did it help weight come off faster or slow it down?

Ot: Sizing Charts Suck. Apple Shaped Women, What Are Your Measurements And Your Size?

Was going to buy something online from Torrid, and those charts are NEVER accurate. For example when I was 192-200 (did cardio and strength training) my measurements were 46-37-46 and I wore a 14 in jeans, and would buy 1x/2x tops from Torrid because of my big boobies (38ddd.) According to the Torrid charts a 14 is 34 inch waist, lol!. I am an apple/rectangular shaped person and I wear my jeans at my waist, not low rise or anything. Now, I'm 5'6, 283, and I wear a 22 jeans, and 22/24 tops from Lane/Ashley. My measurements are 56-50-56. I know brands vary between misses, women, and juniors. I usually buy from Torrid, and I wonder if Torrid is considered a juniors plus store? I digress. I have also noticed it elsewhere, where a person's actual waist size in inches doesn't match the size, i.e. a size 6 with 31 inch waist. Long story short, what are your true measurements and what size do you wear? Include your height. Thanks/ -
Question For Pre-Op/post: Ever Thought About Chosing A Different Surgery Like The Ds/bypass?

That's my issue with the malabsorption thing that made me choose the sleeve. What I found interesting was that the intestines "heals" itself after about two years, so you stop losing that ability. I don't know if it's 100 percent, but I doubt it because from my understanding although the intestines would start absorbing fats again, its not absorbing all the nutrients still, hence the need to take your vitamins for life. I will google the explanation on that. -

I do buy my tops to accommodate for the "girls." I do also wonder what my shape would go to once smaller. I do know that I'll probably still be an apple because my boobies will always be bigger, I believe. It's a big boobie family I have. Some have both butt, and boobie. I don't. -

Nope, you did not answer my question, lol. It did make me laugh because you didn't answer it. There is no Torrid where I live so I only buy online. I hate shopping. The lines, the crowd, and with coupon codes its wayyyyy cheaper online than stores, especially Lane you get coupons all the time. -

I Want To See What 125Lbs Looks Like.. Anyone Here That Size/weight?
Kiki Von Moonshine posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hey. I'm 5'6 284, and medium to large frame going by the measuring of the wrist chart. Anywho my goal is 125 or a size 2 or 4, but I would be okay with 150. I have more boobs than legs. I would describe my shape as straight or a perhaps apple. Anyone here same height? I guess I'm trying to see if 125 lbs would be too small for my frame. Thanks. -

Anyone Over A Year With Heartburn?
Kiki Von Moonshine posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Is there a percentage or average out there of when post vsgers stop having heartburn? Is it after eating or all day? I know it varies per person but Id like to know when it ends on average and what brings it on. I know certain food trigger it, but Id like as much info about this. Im pre op and heartburn has never really been an issue for me. Once in a blue moon, usually too much water or grapefruit. Its not that bad that medicine is required. -
