Did You Buy Goal Clothes, If So What Did You Buy, And When Did You Buy?
Kiki Von Moonshine replied to Kiki Von Moonshine's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
You aren't that tall. My mom is near that height. I have clothes for up until a size 1x top. I have big boobies so even when I was eighty pounds smaller I still wore a 1x shirt. I was able to get into a xl top from Old Navy, but thats it. -
Did You Buy Goal Clothes, If So What Did You Buy, And When Did You Buy?
Kiki Von Moonshine posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have many mini goals after surgery. I'm still losing pre-op, and I'd like to lose twenty by surgery, so, what I want to know is did you by goal clothes? My biggest goal would be to be a size 2/4, but happy with a 6. However I won't buy those anytime soon, so I figure if I'm going to by something it has to be something I really like, and it would be something I don't think I could get in the future. I can think of many times I passed on something and never saw it come out again. So.. I was thinking about getting one or two pieces of clothing in a large. I think jeans can be bought anytime so I will hold off on those. I figure if I get a large it's not too small or too large, just in case the last twenty takes me forever to get to. -

Well for me, my major goal is a 2/small shirt, but I wouldnt buy size 2's until I was near a size 2 . However I do intend on buying something as motivation that is right in between. I know Im going to fit into a large shirt one day, so I don't see anything wrong with spending $10 on a t shirt. -

Any New Yorkers With Health Plus Insurance?
Kiki Von Moonshine replied to Kiki Von Moonshine's topic in Insurance & Financing
When I think back, the surgeon gave me a sample letter to give to my doctor so when I was done they would submit it to the insurance company, so yes I need a letter. The letter ensures that the doctor saw you, spoke to you about alternate routes (i.e. diet, exercise, etc.) -
I Have Clothing To Sell. Mostly Size 14 And 2X.
Kiki Von Moonshine posted a topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I have a bunch of clothes that vary from size 14-22. Most of my clothes, especially smaller sizes had little wear. I was only a size 14 for a short time. Although I will eventually be a 14 at one point, I don't feel like holding on to them until Chrismas (when I estimate I will be that size.) I have three clothing listings on ebay. Two spring dresses are on ebay, and one size 14 Ashley Stewart Jacket. My bids start as low as $4.00/$5.00. The jeans will start at $10, and I combine shipping if you buy more than one. My clothes are mostly from Torrid and if you are familiar with them, their quality of clothes are very good. I actually will miss Torrid once I get smaller than a size 12. I do have other brands. I have some size 14 skirts and one pair of shorts as well. One of them is the brand Lip Service. It's like a gothic pencil skirt, and I am still debating on selling, because it's so bad a**. I also have a super short skirt from Hot Topic, and it's a size XL. It's best to wear it with leggings. I will soon be posting up a size 1x jean jacket from Torrid as well. http://www.ebay.com/itm/260970990538?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 http://www.ebay.com/itm/260970986171?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 http://www.ebay.com/itm/260970982606?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 Contact me if you are interested in the jeans I haven't posted up. -
Question For Pre-Op/post: Ever Thought About Chosing A Different Surgery Like The Ds/bypass?
Kiki Von Moonshine posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Pre-Op or Undecided: Ever thought about chosing a different surgery? I started out wanting the bypass before research, then once I started the process my mind was set on the sleeve. I recently found myself thinking about the DS. If I were to reroute my intestines, I'd do the DS not just the bypass. My hospital doesn't do it. I like the sleeve because If I'm right, lets say for whatever strange reason it didn't work for me I would be able to do the DS, although I'm pretty confident with the sleeve alone. Post Op: Have you wished you did the bypass, or even currently think about doing the DS? -

Can Someone Tell Me What Is Allowed On Your Liquid Diet?
Kiki Von Moonshine posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My surgery is no time soon, but I would like to do a day and work my way up. Besides protein shakes what can you eat/drink? I have seen it vary, and I want more options besides shakes. I am looking for something with no meat. I can do dairy, and cheese. Thanks. -

Breast Reconstruction? Need Advice!
Kiki Von Moonshine commented on AliveAgain's blog entry in This is it!
I am curious too. I have a large chest, and I have been thinking about what I am going to do with the boobies. When I was lighter three years ago my boobies went down to a 38DDD. My boobies never had that perkiness. Like the other poster said, in order for insurance to cover it, you have to show that it is causing issues. I have heard the same thing for the tummy tuck. Show that it's causing some skin rashes etc. I also heard that insurance may not cover both, but all insurances are different so I do not know how true that is. I do know that I won't have any work done until at goal. No sense in me doing it not at goal, but I will start the process near goal so once I'm there I've already waited the recommended amount of time. -
