I'm curious to see where I lose it. Were you all top heavy before? -
Shoe Size, Before And After? I'm Asking The Ladies And The Gents.
Kiki Von Moonshine posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Okay, My foot has always been long, and wide. I never carried weight in my foot, like some do. My feet are veiny, a little boney, but I am curious if I would lose a size. My entire life I've been a 9.5/10B sometimes W. After pregnancy my foot went up a size, and I know that can happen permanently after a child. I'd love if I could get back to a 10. When I was 250 (pregnancy weight) I wore a 10, after pregnancy when I returned to 250 my foot was an 11, so I know it's not a weight thing, but I'd like to assume, hehehe. Anywho any bony footed people (lol) loss a shoe size? -
Carnie Wilson - 2Nd Wls - Gastric Bypass To Lapband? Huh?
Kiki Von Moonshine replied to former_vbg's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Like someone said earlier, to then to the DS, it might have been harder to find the right doctor for her. Who knows. In NYC there are only a small handfull of doctors that can do the DS, the other three popular surgeries (Band, Bypass, and Sleeve) are done more widely. Probably didn't feel like being bothered with it all? Maybe she likes the fact that the band can be removed. So manyfactors. I mean my friend had the bypass almost ten years ago, and has gained some back, no where near what Carny gained back, but she did. Best of luck to her. -

Looking Forward To A Smaller Grocery Bill!
Kiki Von Moonshine replied to Kiki Von Moonshine's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm not even listening to that nutritionist, because if I need a shake, I'm going to have a shake. Maybe because she thinks I'd have a shake plus a meal? I dunno. Yea, I'm in Brooklyn as well. -
Looking Forward To A Smaller Grocery Bill!

For whatever strange reason my nutritionist didn't want me to continue with shakes once I was in the solid food stage. I didn't ask why (long story) but she was so against me an shakes. I don't eat out. After I had my son, I've avoided all the old luxuries. I mean I went out but usually my aunt treats for me. I'm not against shakes, but I'm going to hope that I could get my protein from foods. I do like them. Shakes are easier to create when on the go. -
Looking Forward To A Smaller Grocery Bill!

If the grocery money goes towards clothes money, I won't complain!! I love clothes, but have not bought anything really for myself since knowing that I intended on losing weight even before surgery was on my mind. Besides I am CHEAP!! Skinny clothes are cheap if you know where to shop. I can find cute $5, $10 blouses, even $12 jeans. Probably cheaper too.The options for cheap skinny clothes are in abundance! Plus size clothes that are cute is wayyyyy to expensive! I use to have a friend who was cheap as well who knew where to go for cheap clothes, she was a size 6. The organic store is no joke in comparison, plus I am in NYC so everything is crazy high. I've been mixing it up, some at the regular grocery store, and some at the organic store. -

Kiki Von Moonshine replied to ATLGirl's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
At the beginning stage I'm sure it will be shakes etc. But unless I lose appetite for particular things my diet will probably stay the same. I eat eggs, and dairy, etc. You can check out my youtube watchmeloseit2012. -

Post Ops: After The Two Years Is The Size Of Food The "normal Size?"
Kiki Von Moonshine replied to Kiki Von Moonshine's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Is the contracting pain the same as the pain felt when you take a laxative or something similar? Usually laxatives without ginger makes my stomach feel that way, like "Where is the toilet? Stay out of my way" -

Thanks for the response. I'm eating very little carbs now. I started about a week ago. I want to focus on high vitamin enriched greens. I had asparagus for the first time yesterday. Very delicious. I'm a vegeterian, so my diet consist of soy foods, and now more veggies. So let's see how this goes. I'm getting a bike soon so I can get some exercise. I love bicycling. I'm currently a 22 in LB jeans, and a 22/24 top. My button down from them is a 26. I got big boobies. What is your goal? I'd love to get to 125, but I'm okay with 130-145. -

Diet Pills

I saw them talking about HCG on Dr. Drew today. I can't do 500 cals now, but maybe after I'm sleeved. That sounds like a good idea if for whatever reason I've tried all that I could and I still can't lose/slow loser. I'm willing to try anything that is safe and won't mess with my sleeve. I've tried xenadrine, and hydroxycut without the ephedrine and although it worked I got crazy headaches. I wouldn't DARE do those again. I also tried some other pill that gave me the shakes. It was crazy. I wonder how colon cleansers react on the intestines, and the tummy. Being blocked up doesn't feel too good. -

Hey ladies, and gents, can any ladies that started near my stats give me your stats? I'm 5'6 currently 280, hoping to be 260 by surgery (July.) So anyone from 260-280 can you tell me how much you have lost, your goal size, your current size and how many months out you are. If you have before an after photos that would be nice too. Also can you tell me about your excess skin? Thanks. -

My doctor doesn't require a two week diet. Foxbins cleared it up for me with the example she provided. Thanks all. -

Your Over Weight Friends?
Kiki Von Moonshine replied to BettyBoop's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I haven't been sleeved yet but I'm interested to find out.I have two overweight friends, I barely see them so even if they were negative it wouldn't affect me if we didn't continue to be friends. At first one of them seemed like she would be jealous, trying to scare me out of it. I'm sure she would prefer we were both big. We shall see and I will keep you updated. -
6+ Months/ 100Lbs +, Weight Loss Stall... What Do I Do Now?
Kiki Von Moonshine replied to emily_0192010's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Welcome to Brooklyn. I was at Juniors the other day. That's going to be my pre-op last full meal celebration restaurant. -
This is taking forever!!!! I want my surgery already. Lol. Okay, so I've been getting all my appointments out of the way. On the paper that I was given it states that my pre-op testing ( blood work, EKG, and chest xray) should be done within 3 weeks of my surgery date. When I'm done with the that I contact my doctor for my letter of medical clearance 2 weeks prior to my date. After all of that I make a final appointment to see my surgeon 1-2 weeks prior to the surgery date for my preop visit including instructions and prescriptions. So when I called and asked the secretary of my surgeon when I would get a date she said after all of my testing. Does that make any sense? How can I make an appointment for the pre-op testing unless I know the date. I don't know if having those tests done too early would make a difference. My final month of weight management is July, so I would make a PCP appointment for the first of July. I plan to make an appointment for the pre-op testing the first week in July just in case I don't hear from the surgeon's secretary prior to this. She did tell me that my surgery should be in July.. Hmm.. I haven't really fussed because it's still early, but I do like to get everything out of the way if I can and when I have a sitter.

My surgery is in July. Impatiently waiting.
