1) Gum Chewing And 2) Straws
Kiki Von Moonshine replied to gettinthinner's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
For the most part I have always known how my stomach felt when it was content, full, and uncomfy. Before the real question is did my head listen to my stomach. Since December when I told myself I would do this surgery I have been listening to my stomach almost 100 percent of the time. I have only gotten uncomfortable a few times. Now I am more aware of my limits. I can chew one piece forever! One pack of trident could last me for days. For me it is almost impossible for me to swallow gum because I always new it wasn't good for me to do that. -
Female Post Ops That Had Surgery At 280-260 Can You Give Me Your Numbers?

Hi. I'd love to know what your weight loss numbers are after 1, 6, 9, and 12 months. I would appreciated other months as well. Can you also put in if you worked out or didn't in your weight loss journey? -

1) Gum Chewing And 2) Straws
Kiki Von Moonshine replied to gettinthinner's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know right?! How much gum pieces are you eating? Lol. Reminds me of the days of the GIANT sour balls. I only chew trident. Sugarfree is the only gum I buy. I've been chewing gum for YEARS! A great treat for me when I want something sweet and helps me avoid actually eating something sweet. Also great when cooking. Keeps your finger out of the pot. Lol. -
1) Gum Chewing And 2) Straws
Kiki Von Moonshine replied to gettinthinner's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I hardly ever use straws since most of my drinks are from a large water bottle. Gum for me is a food suppressant. I havent had any in awhile, almost a month ago. I could go hours without food if I have gum, and that may sometimes be a bad thing, but usually I am chewing gum while I am on the road.(OP) Good luck with whatever you choose. -
Getting a CL bike is a great idea. I've been looking high and low for a cruiser on mine. Nothing but old ones being sold. No can do.

1) Gum Chewing And 2) Straws

Who swallows gum? How does one accidently swallow gum? That idea sounds like complete hogwash. I probably was six the last time I chewed gum. I need my gum. So if I have bad breath I'm suppose to have stanky breath? No way. Lol. -

For Those Who Love Soda...
Kiki Von Moonshine replied to terrapin16's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I know it's the bubbles that is supposedly the problem, but an alternate for the aspertamed diet drinks is perhaps a seltzer water with a pinch of lime, or a juice? I am sure citrus might not work for everyone but just an idea to try if you HAVE to have something with bubbles. I like selter, but my drink of choice when outdoors, or going to a store is usually a low cal gatorade, or a large bottle of water. i can't remember the last time I had a diet or even a full cal soda. -
Boobies Question For The Ladies That Had Big Boobies & Went Down Many Cup Sizes
Kiki Von Moonshine posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
So my boobies have always been big, and not perky. My girls are a 42G at the moment. I want to hear from women who didn't have perky boobies. When you lost your weight from your boobs, did the skin/breast get smaller? Like draw up? Or did it just stay whereever they were and look more and more deflated? I hope I'm wording this right. For example, when I was 90 lbs smaller they were a 38DDD. It appeared that they got smaller, like there was less meat in each booby, but it didn't look deflated. So it would seem as if the skin retracted as well. I can't say it will do that at 150 lbs, but I want to have an idea. I know I'm going to want a lift regardless, but just curious as to what my boobies would look like. -
How Far From Goal Where You Before Weight Loss Slowed Down By A Lot?
Kiki Von Moonshine posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My goal is to be between 120-150 lbs. I am 5'6, 282 now (about 12 pounds less since I started researching WLS.) I was lighter a few years ago, and a work out junky, and started to plateau around 198. I am sure it will be different afterwards, and I am sure it varies per person, but at what weight did the weight stop coming off fast? For me I'd guess around 160. -
Theres a plus size section on a bike forum. I believe the site is bikeforum.net. Google it. There's a section with a horse name to it, I forgot, but they have info for people that are bigger and want great bike recommendations. Also google :Bikes for bigger people. I believe the cheapest I've seen was about 500 that was made to fit someone over 300 lbs.

On my fb I decided to post that I was getting it done. I don't know how many people paid attention or cared, but I put it out there. For people that I'd actually see, if I like them, and they ask I'd tell them. People that I might hardly speak to or just talking with to be nice, I'd tell them diet and exercise or eating less depending on which I do.

Looking Forward To A Smaller Grocery Bill!
Kiki Von Moonshine posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Sucks how good food is so expensive, especially as a vegeterian. As a mom on a budget it can be really hard to get the things you need, but I can say this, when I get the sleeve, I'm not only going to be excited because of the weight loss, but with smaller meals, it means a smaller bill for me at the organic store. Woohoo! That is all. -

Do You Think How A Person Felt About Their Body Before Makes A Difference?

Do you think the outcome of how one sees themselves before surgery plays a part on how they would feel after? I keep hearing how people feel like they don't see the skinny them after losing so much weight? -

Do You Think How A Person Felt About Their Body Before Makes A Difference?
Kiki Von Moonshine replied to Kiki Von Moonshine's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I didn't word my question right. (My comp was dying so I was righting as fast as I could.) I mainly wanted to know if how a person felt about their body before surgery, does it play a part on how they say themselves physically after? Example: I have never said anything bad about my body. Of course I'd like to lose weight, nip and tuck, but I just have never said things like I'm disgusting, no one would want me etc. I have heard (not from this forum) but have heard people I chat with in the past and present that has said such awful things about themselves. So what I want to know is, is it possible for a person like me, that has been rather confident about my body become unhappy with it, and not see how far I have come in the future? I was watching someones video on YT, about body dismorphic disorder. She lost tons of weight after WLS. So I guess I'm asking how many men/women see all their hard work? -

I know there's some guys in here, probably hiding behind a bush somewere, lol. I always wondered if any sleevers ever met from a meetup on here/local wls meetups ? I think it's always great to have someone with a common interest, and understanding of weight loss, extra skin, etc. -
