I found an excellent site to help with this on toomuchonherplate.com EXCELLENT SITE. PLEASE, PLEASE CHECK IT OUT. THE BEST FREE THERAPY EVER. DESIGNED JUST FOR US. TO EXPRESS HOW HELPFUL IT IS, I HAVE POSTED IT ON VARIOUS SECTIONS OF THIS SITE. LET ME KNOW IF YOU FOUND IT HELPFUL. I AM WORKING HARD TO ASSIST MYSELF ON ISSUES I KNOW I WILL HAVE TO DEAL WITH. THE SURGERY WILL HELP ME PHYSICALLY, BUT, IT IS THE MIND I WORRY ABOUT. I MUST LEARN TO KEEP THE WEIGHT OFF AND ACCEPT THAT I CANNOT DO THE SAME THINGS AND EXPECT DIFFERENT RESULTS. I AM SCHEDULED TO BE SLEEVED ON MONDAY, MAY 14, AND THE FEARS ARE BEGINNING TO HAUNT ME..I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU TOO.

NOT EVERYONE IS GOING TO BE HAPPY FOR YOU. THIS INCLUDES THOSE WE LOVE. SOMETIMES, OUTSIDE SUPPORT CAN BE MORE SUPPORTIVE. PEOPLE (INCLUDING LOVE ONE'S) BECOME JEALOUS, THIS HAS MUCH TO DO WITH CONTROL ISSUES. . YOU ARE NO LONGER SOMEONE TO PICK ON, TALK ABOUT BEHIND YOUR BACK, DEGRADE, AND HUMILIATE. . YOU ARE NOW JUST AS CONFIDENT AS THEY ARE . YOU NO LONGER MAKE OTHER PEOPLE SHINE, BECAUSE NOW YOU OUT SHINE THEM . YOU ARE MORE OUTGOING, HAVE I NTERESTS IN HEALTHY LIVING ETC. VISIT THE WEBSITE: TOOMUCHONHERPLATE.COM FOR ADDITIONAL SUPPORT. YOU CAN SIGN UP FOR DAILY WORDS OF ENCOURAGE, AND KNOWLEDGE. EXCELLENT SITE FIR WOMEN LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK OF IT. IT WILL HELP YOU DEAL AND UNDERSTAND THE PSYCHOLOGICAL ASPECTS THAT MUST BE DEALT WITH IN RESULT OF THIS SURGERY. IT WAS RECOMMENDED BY MY PSYCHOLOGIST.

Bummed - 67 Pounds Lost And I Look Just The Same
topper12345 replied to Cherrybomb's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
YOU CAN'T LOOK THE SAME. THIS IS ONE OF THE MANY REASONS THIS SITE IS SO BENEFICIAL FOR US. NOTHING BUT SUPPORT CAN ASSIST WITH THE PSYCHOLOGICAL CHALLENGES THAT COME WITH THIS SURGERY. GIRL,TAKE OFF YOUR BLINDERS I BET YOU LOOK FANTASTIC, HOW DO YOU FEEL? I THINK IT IS INSTANCES LIKE YOU ARE EXPERIENCING THAT FORCE US REALIZE JUST HOW LOW OUR SELF ESTEEM HAS BEEN - WE CANNOT SEE THAT WE LOOK GOOD, DESPITE FEELING BETTER, AND PEOPLE TELLING US. WE GET THROUGH THIS TOGETHER. KEEP POSTING, DO NOT STOP! -
Things I can't wait to do!
topper12345 replied to Fusilli66's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
WHAT AN EXCELLENT AND THERAPEUTIC TOPIC !!! I will be sleeved on May 14, (mothers day gift to me). 1. Be relieved of the sweating from under my breasts in the hot weather which causes painful irritation and odor and the constant need to put cornstarch under them which makes a mess. 2. See body parts without a mirror (do not mean my feet.....) 3. Regain self-esteem, and relieve depression. 4. Eliminate the words "I WISH" when looking at fashion 5. Join over eaters anonymous (OA) for support for the emotional eating (it will not go away just because of the surgery, it will resurface if we do not address it). 6. Last but not least... Become healthy by respecting food, longevity, and for once life being about me. Love you girls! -

PLEASE VISIT: toomuchonherplate.com they offer excellent advice and free audio therapy sessions. They also deal with the emotional effects after weight loss surgery. All of us that had or is going to have GS must realize that the surgery does not cure emotional eating. We must address the underlying factors. You can lose 200 lbs. and still me miserable, unhappy, and depressed. Now that you have taken care of yourself physically, take care of your emotional health. Extremely important for us ladies! -

topper12345 replied to Lilee84's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hello to you courageous and beautiful ladies, please browse this website. It is a great tool to assist with the emotional eating Free info and audios to listen to. I am scheduled for g.s. surgery on May 14,. But, I know I need help with the emotional eating. I am planting in my head that the surgery is only a tool and the weight can be put back on. If you were an emotional eater the surgery will not take care of it. Hope it is beneficial TooMuchOnHerPlate.com -
