  1. I'M 6 days post op. I can't consume more than 300 calories per day. I feel dehydrated. Per the nurses orders I drank magnesium citrate yesterday which of course led to chronic diarrhea. Still have lingering gas and shoulder pain, all I want to do is sleep. I feel myself getting depressed. It hurts to drink anything I wonder if three sips at a time is to much....Amy thoughts? I have my one week f/ u with doc on Thursday.

    Am I Normal?

I feel good! Yesterday I ate almost 50 grams of protein! I had a come to Jesus talk with myself and decided that the world won't end if I give up my vegan ways for a couple of months! So I decided to introduce Geek yogurt into my life and made my favorite tofu egg salad! Well 600 calories 50 grams of protein and 30 oz of water and Gatorade later and I feel brand new! Thanks for all the encouraging words.. I'm on the mend!

    Am I Normal?

Today was my first day back to work it was painful ! Didn't even work a whole day. I have horrible gas and left shoulder pain. I. Still struggling to get proper calories and protein, although today I took in almost 30 grams of protein which is the most I have had since per op. I'm going to continue to the best with what I can tolerate and we will get through this together! Hang in there, I keep hearing it will get better so I'm going to believe it!

    Left Shoulder Pain

I'm 4 day post op and continue to have gas pain, but does anyone have a sensation of your stomach spasming? Also is anybody else struggling to get calories in? I'm averaging about 250 calories per day. I'm very exhausted still have pain around my incisions. I have been sipping on water and Gatorade because I fear dehydration. Is this all normal?

    Psych Eval Question

What people fail to recognize this fat surgery industry is a multi million dollar industry, so most doc aren't going to say no unless u r truly mentally I'll or have significant cognitive deficits. I figured out in life that you have to play the game one times as ridiculous as it is. For example I had to have chest x ray for my pre op prep, I asked why I have no health conditions or indications of pulmonary dysfunction, in fact I haven complimented by my Dr. For my strong lung capacity,( in a swimmer). The only explanation I got was well everybody has to have one? Really can we say waste of $ and time... Hence the welcome to the corporate cash cow of the fat industry.
  18. I m self pay in the DC metro area and I have to stay overnite, despite my attempts to convince the doc that I don't need to. My doc makes u do a swallow test and an X-ray the next morning to make sure all is well
