Hi Kate!! Welcome to this amazing journey. I had to do a 6 month supervised diet for insurance requirements. It really went by fast.i lost 50 #.

I rode in 5 days. No problems at all. Just kept a bottle of water & sipped & soaked up the sun.

Gene- I committed to this new lifestyle last Sept. I gave up soda, sugar & caffeine at that time. I came to realize that I had been very fortunate that I had eaten anything & everything I wanted for 53 years so surely I could eat & drink healthy for however many years I had left. It is a mindset. Once you decide to do this you just do it! Nothing tastes as good as this feels. I promise

Yes I am having the same problem. The protein shakes are gagging me but I keep on trying. My overall soreness in abdomen is almost gone. I feel pretty good other than still a little weak.

It is amazing how each day makes a huge difference!! I am back to work this morning. I have a desk job and it is mostly data entry. I am an accountant for the State of MO and I work in individual income tax. As you can imagine.. we are quite busy!! I must admit I am fairly weak and my brain feels like I am in a fog. I am managing to get my 60 gm of Protein in and staying plenty hydrated. Just going to do what I can do and plug along. Kathy

6 days post op. back to work today. making it okay. little tired and weak. had 1 week follow up appt with surgeon yesterday. Everything is on track and I am down 8lbs since surgery on the 11th!!

I am doing great!! Had my first post op visit with surgeon today. I am cleared to go back to work & do anything I feel like doing. Down 8lbs since surgery . No problems getting my fluids in but still struggling to get all my protein in. The frisbee sized (j/k) chewable vitamins are horrible. How is it going for you?

I was also sleeved on 4/11. The recliner is my new best friend. I can lie flat in bed for a couple of hours but not much longer.

I can so relate to this!! LOL. Mine is getting better each day. First couple of days it felt like I was trying to swallow chards of glass.

I'm lying on the gurney waiting on my IV to be started. This is finally happening!! See you on the loser's bench. Lost 12.5# on pre-op liquid diet. Weight is 174.8 this morning. Started this journey in Sept. @ 227. Little over halfway to goal.
