Positive, Healthy, Awesome and Thick - I want to be PHAT!
Hello My Name is LeWanda and welcome to my world.

I currently suffer from high blood pressure, osteoarthritis and spinal stenosis. A few years ago I would have never thought these things would happen to me. Weight loss Surgery was never an option for me and I wanted to use good old fashion exercise and healthy eating to lose weight. I've been pushing and pushing myself and now I'm ready to save my life. Everyday is becoming a struggle to maintain my hectic life at this size.

I am extremely confident and love being a full figured woman. Thanks to heredity I have a pear shape like most women in my family. I am not trying to be skinny just healthy. I hope to inspire other women my size to be confident and love themselves while being healthy. I am outgoing and enjoy living life in the fast lane. It seems lately I'm watching from the side lines. NO BUENO!

I am tired of my legs, knees, ankles and lower back hurting to support my weight. I have been told by my doctors that weight loss will give me the relief I need. I have started to become winded from simple movements. I can not stand for long periods of time without my back and legs hurting. I can't walk for more than 10 minutes without feeling like I'm going to pass out from the pain. Right now my only savior is pain pills and it seems I can't live a normal day without them. NO BUENO!

I recently had my doctor approve me for a handicap tag and I love and hate it at the same time. SMDH Sometimes I even hide it. I'm the queen of excuses! I find myself going out less and sitting home on the couch more. NO BUENO!

So....I've been exercising 3x a week for 30-60 mins. I do Dance Central, Water Aerobics, Eliptical (barely 5 mins) and the machines at the gym. I really love the pool workouts.

I have a consultation with the doctor on March 19, 2012. I'm nervous and happy at the same time.

So far I've gone from 450 to 440. I was seeing a nutritionist but I haven't been lately because I have a hard time doing the Lo Carb Hi Protein diet.

I'm ready for a new tool to help me along my journey. I pray the vertical sleeve is the beginning of my success!
