Well, I got a little more excited when I got on the scale and saw I had lost 5 lbs in 2 days!@@Mega_100 I know, it's terrible. Scary feelings.
@@Reckless Moxie, I took a One A Day Multivitamin with Energy (B12) and legit didn't need coffee today--maybe that could help you. Three and a half hours later and I'm still good!

My surgery date is 10/4 and I am on my pre-op diet now. It's mostly coffee that I'm missing at this point. Im excited to get this done and reclaim control over my body. I'd like to join the FB group, so I requested there. Good luck sleeve-sisters!
Yeah, I've been weaning off coffee, but my NUT said it was ok in the pre-op diet if you are making an effort to reduce how much you drink. I'm thinking of going to Decaf (ugh, I know), since it's really just the taste and ritual I am craving. Good luck to you too!

Welp, my cold has warded off most of my desire to eat. Had to remind myself of my goals a couple times, though. How is everyone else doing?

Me too Mega_100! I have a feeling the pre-op diet is going to be the worst part. But we can do it ????
Thanks for the encouragement! Today my allergies/cold/whatever is in full effect. So, I'm not really hungry, anyway. If I can make this last a little bit longer, this two weeks will be a breeze, lol!

Two week pre-op diet starts tomorrow! All the sudden a bit nervous... Idk, why!

I have had a few "last meals" and afterwards I always think, "yeah, that was good, but I could deal with not having it again."
I get bummed when I think about the things I'll have to live without, but then I resign myself to the fact that if I could eat/drink those things in moderation I wouldn't be where I'm at now and I'm better off with a tool that will help me avoid them. So, now I'm focusing all my energy on the exciting parts--losing weight, becoming healthy again, etc. and preparing for surgery.

My instructions say 2 weeks so I'm starting Wednesday.... So I would say start the same day.
I'm on the 14th and my doc gave me Wednesday for my pre-op to start, too.

Anyone else have a 2-week pre-op diet starting this week?

I try to get stevia products when possible. I've heard of flavored liquid drops stevia, but not sure of the brand. Anyone heard of this? Sweet Leaf, I think. Not sure which brand tastes the best, but I'd be interested to know.

my NUT said to order the Calcium and take it at seperate times from the other so it doesnt mix with the Iron.
Ok, thanks. I spoke with my doc and NUT and the Bariatric fusion multi has everything I need. So, no need for anything else

I am pre-op as well. My NUT just told me what to order for after surgery. I just went to Bariatric Advantage and ordered Advanced Multi EA chewable Mixed fruit (60ct) for $36.00 (this has all of the Vitamins in one chewale) and Bariatric Advantage Calcium Crystal, (60 servings) $15.10.
My NUT said the Multivitamin chewable from BA had everything, too, but then people say they take other stuff too. Why is that? Does the multi not have enough Calcium, @@Shellbell619?

247 for me ????

yea those arent sugar free though and still require heavy whipping cream, i stay away from sugar completely, at some later date i will re-introduce a lesser amount of some sugars in my diet but in this easy way out to use the sugar free cool whip, it just works for me.
Fair enough. I totally get the convenience factor! I kinda liked the cost-effective aspect as well as adding flavor. Maybe I'm missing something, but heavy whipping cream has no sugar and sugar free Syrup is sugar free, where's the sugar? (Keep in mind I'm a newbie happy to learn if I'm doing something wrong here) Thanks!

I have several rants under my breath while shopping at Target--especially bc they weave together the maternity with plus size!
I feel like what I'm really looking forward to in regards to clothes shopping isn't just an increase in selection, but also lowering the cost of my clothes. I feel that often times I'll look at someone wearing really basic, non-plus sized work clothing and I resent the fact that--no matter their taste--they can go and find basic, inexpensive clothing without trouble. I pay A LOT for clothes I don't especially like, that don't hold up!

the nutri ninja has been my savior at home, if you sign up on the bed bath beyond site you can get a 20% off coupon and if you time it right you can get one for a very good price i got mine for 74 dollars,
nd at work i use this, cheap at Amazon and works great.
but not to go off point but absolute staples that have made my life easier, are sugar free cool whip, not lite or fat free but sugar-free, and sugar-free pudding and Jello.< /p>
Thanks! I'm hoping the magic bullet I have is going to work for me (still in the box), especially in the first few stages. Have you seen some of the homemade whipped cream recipes from Life According to Eggface?

Microwave freezer safe glass containers. I freeze leftovers to have quick meals on hand for days I don't have time to cook.

Bento lunch box. Small compartments. Easy take to work meal.

Bariatric friendly bento box food examples.
I think Bento Boxes are going to be lifesavers and I am really hoping to find some good freezer meal ideas--so far I've really liked the recipes from Eggface and the Protein Chef.

These are all great!! Thank you! I'm happy to see a couple things I already have. Did NUT classes teach you how best to weigh/portion/track/calculate your nutritional info?
