To Janetf, just a bump in the road. But very normal to have those emotions! Keep on keeping on! God is an awesome God, and did not bring you through surgery to yet disappoint you. After all is said and done, your report was really good this morning. Keep your head up and remember anything that's good takes time!

Day 5 was a little better. I got 46 grams protein and 32oz water in. Missed my protein intake by 14oz and my water by 32oz. So today I'm starting earlier and my goal is to at least get my 60grams of protein in. Suggestions are definitely welcomed especially from the experienced sleevers that have mastered all of this. Clear liquids phase get very boring very fast!

To tiredoffat, I went on a clear liquid diet drinking protein shakes, juices and eating sugar free jello and I lost 9 pounds in less than two weeks. I was only required by my surgeon to be on clear liquids the day before the surgery, but I went on it for about 10 days.

I had to add that Dr. Nease is a very good looking surgeon. When he walked in I didn't recognize him. He looked nothing like the pic on his website. Very nice, mannerisms, thorough and knowledgeable! My sister and my niece was very impressed. My sister was hoping to see him today when I was being discharged. I would highly recommend Dr. Nease!

I had codeine in me when I was typing, I meant Dr. Nease. My catheter was removed Friday night, and the drain tube was removed this morning. I have to give myself a blood thinner needle in the stomach once a day for ten days. I'm on a clear liquid diet for 2 weeks, full liquids the next 2 weeks, pureed foods the next 2 weeks, and then soft foods. I have to take in 60 grams of protein and 64 ounces water a day. I have to report my weight to dietitian once a week. I have to get staples removed in 10 days and I go back to west Virginia in 6 weeks. As of today I have gained 6 pounds, but my monthly came on Saturday.

Dr. Beast is a great surgeon! My surgery was on Thursday and he made me and my sister feel very comfortable and had me laughing up until I went out. He repaired a hernia while he was doing my surgery. My blood pressure has been up and down and my temperature. I did get released today, but experiencing lots of gas right now. But overall I don't have any regrets and I couldn't have asked for a better surgeon!

Hello everyone, I was sleeved yesterday and all I want to do is sleep. First two days have been rough. I feel if they remove the catheter and drain tube I would be able to move better! Good news is I passed the leak test. I'm very weak and they been giving extra fluids. Please send extra prayers up for me.

Hello everyone, I arrived in West VA @midnight and after driving for eight hours, I was sleepy and very, very tired! I got nutrition and education classes at 10&11. I'm on a clear liquid diet today, and I take the citrate magnesium at 5. Well I'm less than 24 hours from joining the losers bench. My Pastor anointed me and prayed with me before traveling, and I had such a peaceful trip. And the best news is that my sister and my niece is driving here tonight. They will be with me for surgery. I was freaking out a little because I thought I had to do this alone. God is so awesome! Good luck to all that's being sleeved this week and to the ones that have already been sleeved. Hello April sleevers! I leave tomorrow for west VA. I have preop testing on Wednesday and I check in the hospital at 6am Thursday. I have had some terrible meltdowns(nervous), but I'm ready now. The only regret is my only sister can't be with me due to she's recovering from recent surgery. So I need all the prayers I can get. Even though I know God will be with me every step of the way, I'm still scared only because I will be in this strange place by myself. Thanks to everyone in this group, especially the postop sleevers! I love you all and I pray that this week sleevers come out the surgery with little to no complications and I will meet everyone on the losers bench! Be blessed!

Arj1016, you are gonna be fine. God brought you through the surgery and he will get you through your recovery and healing. Soon this will be a distant memory. Take care!

To Sashadee, unfortunately I will be alone also. My sister underwent surgery twice last week. So I don't have any one else to trust nor ask at the last minute. So, I will put it all in God's hands and leave on Tuesday April 17 for West VA. I have pretests on Wednesday and surgery on Thursday. And because I live more than 100 miles, I have to stay in the hospital until Monday 23rd.

Hi my surgery is April 19, so I'm in the middle! After having a meltdown and lots of second thoughts, I'm excited and anxious again! I send up prayers for successful sleevers and traveling mercy to and from our destination and speedy recovery! April sleevers rock!

I understand how you feel cnl. My surgery is scheduled for April 19, but I have been stuffing my face as if I don't care if I gain weight before my surgery. I know I'm scared and very nervous. I just don't know if I'm in the right frame of mind to do this. This is a total life change. I got 11 more days to really commit.
