Hello everyone, today is my 4 week sleeve anniversary and I weighed in at 235.7, dropped 35lbs. I am so very happy that I made this decision. It's days like this that out weighs that little voice I hear sometimes telling me that I would never be able to eat like others, but that's fine because I'm not like others, but soon I will be looking like others! April sleevers rock!!!!

The incision where the drain tube was took the longest to heal. It was oozing pus and hurting, so I started cleaning it with half peroxide and water and kept a clean band aid on it.

I lost 3 lbs in the last 2 days. I was so glad to get off 240! I finally got 64oz fluid in! I too feel like I have more energy.

Jimmy, so glad for the update. Concentrate on your healing. You can get another job, but not another Jimmy! Just know that we love you and will continue to send prayers up for a speedy recovery. Be blessed!

Even if Jimmy can't use his phone, the person that have access to his phone should at least inform us how he is doing. I don't know what to think, so I'm giving it to God and pray that everything is fine.

I'm 3 weeks postop and have been at a stall for the last 5 days. I was losing 1-2 pounds a day and it stopped. As a matter of fact one day I had gained 3 pounds. A little nerve wracking, but no regrets. I did have a good moment. I put a pair white pants in the cleaners and when I put them on yesterday, they were too big, LOL

Jimmy, I'm so sorry that you are having problems. Please know that God is awesome and didn't bring you successfully through surgery just to fail you now. This is just a bump in the road. I will pray healing power over your body and through the hands of the doctors and nurses assigned to you. I plead the blood of Jesus over you. I began to itch my second week and it lasted for over a week. My hands and my feet were sore from me scratching. It left my third week just as quick as it came, weird!

To Jimmy, my acid reflux just started this week and it is extremely bad when I first wake up! Have you figured out what is causing it, or is it everything you eat or drink?

Is anyone experiencing bad acid reflux? I'm not eating much, so I'm wondering if the syntrax apple ecstasy protein powder or the prune juice or v8. If anyone is taking acid reflux medicine, are you crushing it or swallowing the pill? My doctor put me on medicine yesterday, but didn't tell me how to take it.I'm 3 weeks postop today, and have lost 30 pounds and started on soft foods today.

Have anyone tried pasta on the soft food stage?

Have anyone experienced choking in your chest after eating? Or am I eating too fast? I just ate mashed sweet potatoes and I had to walk hard to get it to move down. It's moments like this that makes me want to stick to my protein drinks! Ugh

To Jimmygotsoul, I went to a cookout Saturday and Sunday. The food was smelling so doggone good. The people kept asking me don't you want to eat? Fried fish, bbq chicken, ribs, hamburgers, hot sausages and baked beans. People was eating and getting their drink on and I was drinking my protein shake. I felt so good because I didn't have any regrets. Oh, I was the designated driver Saturday night! I have never, never ever played that role! I'm so very proud of me!

Have anyone experienced a change in your breath? My sister told me that my breath has a strong metallic smell that was definitely not there before surgery. Very embarrassed to be walking around with stank breath! LOL

At 2 weeks postop i lost 23 pounds, yeah! I call in my weight every Thursday to my dietitian.

My surgeon repaired a hernia during my surgery which he told my sister I shouldn't get acid reflux, wrong! I just can't figure what is causing it because I'm still drinking protein shakes and not eating. But when I lay down I feel acid coming up in my throat.

Jimmy, you had a good experience, because I didn't see my surgeon after surgery. My sister talked to him and told me what he said but I felt funny because I thought he would have checked on me. But, the upside is I was in icu for 24 hours and the staff were wonderful!

To Joni, she said that it was too much loss. I also gained while in the hospital. The day before surgery my weight was 257, 5 days later I was 270. One week after the surgery, my weight was 261, and two weeks after surgery 247. I get all my protein in, but my stomach be so full that I'm having a hard time getting 64oz fluids in.

Hello April sleevers! Today marked two weeks postop and I'm down 23 pounds. But, my dietitian disappointed me by saying that was not good news and it sound like I was dehydrated. So I have to try harder at getting my 64oz water/beverage down. I was really feeling good about the weight loss.

I'm 13 days post op and still on clear and full liquids. So, it takes a full day to try to get down 60-80 grams protein and 64oz water/beverage. I'm hoping when I call in to the dietitian on Thursday that she will advance me to puree foods.

To JANIRN, I have terrible mood swings, and I cry a lot! I'm day 12 also, but I hope this gets better. I had my staples removed today. I also feel like my weight is not dropping fast compared to some on this site. Do smelling some food make you nauseous?

To thistimeisit, some of the shakes are giving me lots of gas. Syntrax do good, but chike bloats me terrible. I'm going to gnc and try their products. I was supposed to have been on clear liquids for two weeks, but she advanced me to full liquids since I have kept all liquids down. It's very hard getting 60-80grams protein down, and 64 ounces water or sugar free beverage down.
