Hi everyone.. My name is casey. I had my sleeve done when i was 18 in 2010. I am now 21 and in the last year i have been diagnosed with ADHD... I have been through a roller coaster with meds. The final medicine im on now is Focalin XR. It continues to make me extremely nauseous. If anyone has ADHD and success with any med... PLEASE SHARE. Thanks!

hi everyone! First off, sorry i havent been on in so long. Life has been pretty crazy. Anyways, I had my sugery in June 2010 when i was 18 years old. It is now January 2013 and i am 21 at beyond my goal weight. Thanks to family and friends. I will never regret having my sleeve done but i cant say id do it again. I have had so many health issues and mental issues from this sugery. Although, I am very blessed to have had the opportunity to have this experience... I didnt go about it the right way. I was 215lbs when i was 18 so my insurance didnt cover any WLS. I went to Tijuana Mexico. The experience was something I never expected to ever happen to me. But i will never forget it. I havent gained any weight since surgery but i do have a hard time keeping it on. If anyone has any questions or advice they would be willing to give im all ears congrats to everyone on their success! love , Casey K.

I do believe its because you're gaining muscle and still loosing the fat. I went though periods of gaining and loosing but still seeing results. STOP LOOKING AT THE SCALE! Look at your body.

You have to make sure to eat 5-6 meals a day. MEAL meaning 2 or 3 bites of protien hopefully! The more "mini meals" you eat the faster your metabolism is going to go. I'm now trying to gain some weight back so I have 4 meals a day and increase my carb intake. Keep yourself hydrated. I know it's really difficult but it's so worth the fight! Keep it up!

Tiny Chest Pains You Sometime Get
CaseyKay replied to cab0ad's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Be very cautious with this. It's my main health issue a year and a half out. The PH level in my stomach changed drastically after the sleeve so sometimes a small change can cause it as well. If it continues see a doctor about esophagitis because your esophagus can become ulcerated from the acid and cause serious damage that feels like heartattacks. Just constantly update your doctor about how you're feeling. Because things CAN and will get better with time but also things can worsen if they aren't confronted. -
Plain Ice Cold Water Sounds So Good But.....
CaseyKay replied to EmilyIsSleeved's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had this problem also but mine has gotten better with time. I do favor unsweetened tea more than anything now because it feels the best. but you just have to find what works best with you. Another thing that I have a problem with is dairy. I can't have any of it anymore. So everyone kind of has ro experiment to see how your stomach reacts. -
I had my surgery in August 2010 and today I have lost my hundredth lb! Now weighing 116lbs

100Th Pound Lost Today!
CaseyKay replied to CaseyKay's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 5'3" and unfortunately I have a lot of health issues that came with my surgery. I had my surgery in Tijuana and my stomach ended up being 3oz. And it's been about a year and a half and I can't even eat a taco. But I'm now in therapy and really trying to get my protien in daily so I get my hair back! Results look great but it's just been a really hard transition. Thanks for all the support!! -
I had my surgery in August 2010. Have you or are you going to had/have the sleeve?

100Th Pound Lost Today!

Thank yall very much!! ) I couldnt be happier! -
This is EXACTLY like my experience. I actually just cried reading this. I was 19 and went to Tijuana with my dad. I didn't go though any therapy. Which was a MISTAKE /: I had no clue how much this surgery was going to change my life. I don't regret it a day being a size 4 and 100lbs lighter a year later but my goodness. Looking back I should've prepared myself. Now I'm in intense therapy and doing better everyday. Working on getting more calories in so the weight loss will slow down. Let me know if you ever want to talk. I'm new on here and don't really know anyone with the surgery my age. Caseukrywalski@yahoo.com is my email if you'd like to!

Tummy Tuck...have You Had One?
CaseyKay replied to SouthernSleever's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I was 15lbs from my goal weight when I had my tummy tuck and breast lift. I dont regret going early at all. I had mine spring break 2011 becuse I wanted my body for summer! And it was awesome and I love it everyday since! The only thing is the sun and scarring... They WILL darken in the first year so expect that. I had both procedures done at the same time and it took me about 4 days to be able to sit up and move on my own. But with support of others it's not as bad as the initial sleeve was! Good luck! -
I've also gotten the response that I'm a "cheap date" now. I've had a hard time being comfortable to tell anyone I date. It's so awkward. And I feel like Im an alien when they can eat a pizza and a half and I eat three bites. :/
