Agree with previous posters. My episodes I've known immediately. It's been very dense crackers, salad one day--etc. always when I've eaten too quickly and always that feeling in my chest. I've stood up, bent over at the waist at a trash can and easily brought it back up each time. Am only at 4.5 in a 10cc band and it's happened about 4 or 5 times. Oh yes--fried fish was the latest offender. But like I said--I'm positive if I slowed down and chewed better this wouldn't have occurred.

Agreed. I would have done this years ago if I had known it would work like this.

Ice cream is killing me! I'm still losing weight but it must be by the grace of God. What is your weakness? And how do you avoid it? I don't keep ice cream at home but theres this stand on the 40 minute drive home that calls my name.....

I'm glad you still eat it B-52! I don't plan on cutting it out completely but I do need to slow down on it.

That's great! After reading your post I figured my BMI. I'm now just obese. (versus morbidly obese). That made me happy.

That seems like an unhealthy way to live. Can you just get a tiny fill? Like 0.5cc or less?

I love shopping at consignment stores, thrift shops etc. Many actually support therapies or a mission etc. My kids wardrobe is quite nice and consists of mainly yard sale, thrift store clothing

My band has seemed very tight in he last week. I've got 4cc in it. Am scheduled to go to surgeon on Thursday. Will not be getting a fill. I've read others have a right band during hot weather? I can't think what else could be causing it. I'm not having problems but have to be very very careful and chew tons. (This is new in the past week). So I'm guessing it's the weather or a very delayed response to my last fill 4 weeks ago.

I was actually better last night. And the pp is correct about water intake. I've GOT to increase mine. I find it difficult to get in more than 34 oz a day or so.

I agree. The only two times I've gotten stuck have been eating too fast because I was too hungry.

My fills have been very easy! Surgeon has me lie down and tells me to stick my stomach out as hard as I can. Don't even feel the needle stick!

B52, I've been reading your posts and am inclined to agree with your way of thinking. I'm still monitoring calories closely because I haven't hit the green zone yet, but I don't plan to once my band is where it needs to be. I also don't subscribe to starvation mode though--starving children in third world countries & anorexia being my reasons!!!!!!

You have done fantastic! I've lost 25 since march 20th. Not nearly as fast as you! I need to add exercise though....

This is an awesome thread and helps! My NSVs so far: The steering wheel thing. I actually had just reached the point where my belly was touching the wheel pre-surgery. Not anymore. Clothes are already getting baggy My blood pressure has gone down Aches and pains have almost disappeared Can paint my own toenails again I've lost 25 pounds so far. Only 80 or 90 to go!

I cannot lie about it. My morals don't allow for that. However, I don't advertise it either. My co-workers know and have been nothing but supportive. I'm sure most of my extended family knows, and some of them are probably waiting for me to fail ( my Grannie lives with me and there's some jealousy and dysfunction there) but those people will always exist. I'm happy with my decision and that's what matters.
