Great NSV! Thank u so much for sharing. It is amazing how much the sleeve changes our lives and the lives of those closest to us. What a blessing! -
Awww, she's beautiful! Congrats!

I'm sorry that ur feeling this way. Buyers remorse is something that I experienced, in fact I think quite a few people have experienced it too. I hope u pass through the remorseful stage quickly and without too many tears. It gets better! Hang in there!

Joy indeed! Woot! Woot on showing that mountain who's boss! Seriously though, doesn't it feel wonderful to be "normal"?! One of the best feelings ever.

U will get there, but seriously take pics now. I put off taking family portraits and dodged cameras all the time. I missed out on many photo ops. Take the pics. ur son is only going to be this age once. And even tho ur not at goal weight yet, u will get there! Besides u have a lovely family and it looks like it was a great day. Here's a pic of my sons from yesterday. -
How much u can eat at 9mos post op?
danyelleb replied to shandytx83's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I find that cereal does not hold me at all, neither do protein shakes. Try having eggs for breakfast or something that's a little more dense and full of protein. Same thing about the snacking- protein such as beef jerky, cheese, etc will hold u longer than veggie sticks. As for pizza- eek, u r brave to bring it in the house! Lol. I love pizza. At first I had a hard time eating just one piece, but I knew that if I stretched out my eating I could eat more. Then I thought omg I'm eating around my sleeve! Super not good. Ur on to something- get back to basics. U can do it. I recommend doing it now because I feel like I can eat more now at a year than I did at nine months. We have to be diligent about our choices. Good luck! -

Hi Amytug! I'm sorry that ur having difficulties with getting in ur fluids. I got to the point that if i looked at protein powder I wanted to gag. It was horrible. I switched to RTD shakes and would literally force those down. I wasn't a fan either. I tried different brands and flavors that I typically wouldn't drink. Oddly, I settled with pure proteins mint chocolate. Sounds gross, but it had a different type of texture. Water was tricky too- I played with the temperature. I vaguely remember water causing some discomfort or it made me hungry. ?? I can't remember. I actually used a straw with water (heed ur surgeons advice- everyone is different). I found that my water intake increased with using a straw. Big straws caused more discomfort than the skinnier straws. I wish that I had better tips for u. Choking down liquid is way better than passing out from dehydration and then requiring a trip to the ER. Who has time for that?! Lol. Hang in there!

Will sleep apnea ever go away?
danyelleb replied to Vidalia's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yup, I agree. I had sleep apnea when I was a kid and I was not overweight. I'm down a hundred plus pounds. I don't snore, but I'm convinced that I'm still suffering from sleep apnea. I still wake up with the headaches and sometimes feel exhausted. -
Hi buterfly66! Be sure to try Jamba before u pick it as a choice. It used to make me really sick. I thought it was because of the sugar. Also you can get them to make it light and u can have them put in a whey protein boost if u find that it agrees with ur stomach. Have fun in Vegas! One more thing- could u possibly pack an ice chest with ur regular foods, so that u don't need to rely on jamba? If so, I'd recommend doing that.

Any ladies out there have PCOS put your hands up!
danyelleb replied to Red_lips_and_confidence's topic in The Gals' Room
Some people have very minimal discomfort. For me, it was the WORST pain of my life- no joke. I've had a tonsillectomy, two csections, vsg with gall bladder, and I've also broke my back in three different places. The insertion of the mirena was horrible. My uterus is shaped oddly and the doc kept getting blocked. It took three tries. I also have a TINY cervix. I had it placed the day after valentines and I'm still spotting. The cramps were horrendous for the first three weeks. Do your research and make sure that this is what you really want. -
I went through some of the same things. The eating did bother me too. I noticed this with everyone I sat down with. I think it's because I never really paid attention to other people eating because I was so busy shoveling in food myself. It is truly eye opening. It did pass though, however I still kind of get taken aback by how much people eat. As for chatting, yeah I noticed a change in this too. My dh was not pleased with the beginning stages of the sleeve. He had a hard time adjusting to eating at home, my body , and my crazy mood swings probably didn't help. Lol. That man put up with a lot. He would say that he liked me as I was, yadda, yadda. Couple that with a major change in put sex life. Yeah, it was difficult. BUT it does get better! I think he likes that he can pick me up and carry me around- he's always doing this. Lol! He buys clothes for me. He makes sure that I have all my special food items that I eat (Protein powder, Vitamins, string cheese, Jerky, etc). He has adjusted to the new body. My hip bones are "grab bars". He's a goober! As for the libido, I have not returned to normal yet. we keep waiting. We were fairly active people before and now it's about a third. I'm in constant search of the O, as it has seemed to pack up and move away. Humph. :I this is odd because the positions, flexibility, and stamina has changed for the better. We keep waiting. Lol Keep your chin up, Amytug. Most of this will pass.

Happy belated!!! Celebrating in Vegas, huh? I hope the knee is feeling better. I agree with other posters, it's probably an overuse injury. Keep drinking that Water. I really have be diligent about this too! Keep working at it.
