I second that! I love walking my dog too! She even asks to be walked!! Seriously. On days where I don't feel like moving, a nudge and whimper of the leash will get me outside for a walk or run. My chessie is up to a 5 mile run! So proud of her. Lol!

Good for u! I hope u have a speedy recovery. It sounds like you'll be c25king in no time.

I run with an amphipod hydration belt. It holds two 16 oz bottles and it has a decent sized zipper pouch for my chews. Hydrate before and either take some goo or gels with u. My friend (who is not sleeved fills both her bottles with g2 and she doesn't do chews). I've run 15 miles + in 80 degree weather. I highly recommend early morning or late eve (dark) if possible.

Slightly controversial drink (wine, spirit, beer) poll

That sounds yummy! Try vanilla vodka, orange juice, and a splash of diet sprite. It's another creamsicle concoction. -
Love the pics and the update! Congrats on surviving. I hope u enjoyed the experience.

Gold Patron is the best. I will have two shots at the most. After a HARD run (much later after the event) I will drink patron and then get in the hot tub. Best relaxation ever!! My muscles are grateful. I do this maybe once a month if that. My other favorite is flavored vodkas mixed with juice. This is more like a dessert tho and I partake in the liquid goodness no more than twice a month. The biggest problem I have with this is wanting to eat chips and salsa while drinking. Something about the sweet and salty that is just too tasty. It's also a social thing because I'm usually at a friends house hanging out. -
Thanks!! I'm excited. I will definitely keep u guys posted! Hopefully I don't drown. Lol!

Runners world has a race finder. I use this and active. I officially registered for a Mother's Day event. Check out my apparel! I'm scared out of my mind, but massindex and Lisa:) were encouraging. Guess what's next for me?

You could always put a call into the doc. I would recommend that u start with light putting practice and see how it feels. I'm thinking some serious driving could possibly hurt. Take it easy and start slowly. Good luck!

What exercises did you start/how soon after sleeve?

I started with a recumbent bike pre surgery. Post surgery I walked. I started slowly and built my way up to where I am now. -

I don't know much, but I would probably take a couple days to rest. If pain persists I'd call the doc. I think u could cause other issues if ur having a change in gait even if u r not bothered by pain as u get further into ur run. Often times the feel good endorphins we get from running masks low level or annoying levels of pain. I've run through blisters or with something in my shoe that bothered me at the beginning of my run and as a result my sock and shoe was a bloody mess. Just something to consider.

Gotcha! I was thinking holy hell- this person is hardcore. Lol! Good luck on the 5k.

It was an inaugural race- first event by this new racing company, Sasquatch racing. love my shirt and my medal. I'm becoming a medal *****! It's embarrassing, but I LOVE them. Lol! How is everybody else's racing events going? Please share the greatness! I simply adore this time of year. Happy Running!
