1 Year Later, Down 141 Lbs, 9 Sizes, A Husband, Gained Everything Else
danyelleb replied to Just-A-Gem's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Woot! Woot! U look fabulous! I like the black dress with the flower the best. Big NSV for rocking juniors clothes without spanx. Really, u look awesome!! Congrats! -
I remember feeling so incredibly low around that time and I think I was really missing food. I felt like I was starving. I totally agree with the poster that said ur missing chewing. This was it for me! I wanted crunchy, darn it! Focus on soft foods and jazzing them up when it is appropriate with ur diet. As for plates- I saved money and just ate off saucers. Just think of the money u will save on plates and food. It can go into the new clothing fund. In regards to chest size- omg! I have shrunk tremendously. When I first began I was a 40DD, now I'm a 36C. I'm smaller than high school! I never saw that coming! Lol.

298 To 204... Almost To 100!
danyelleb replied to Neese's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wowza! U can do it! U r going to be in onederland before u know it. I bet u feel as good as u look. That much of a loss changes so much about us. Congrats! -
@1920-zeta: I know I could be on a slippery slope here, so please forgive me if I inadvertently offend u. Perhaps God is already working on it. U saw a new ob/gyn and a dnc is the recommendation. What more are u looking for? If the new doc is familiar with ur health history and the complications from a dnc, and they still made the recommendation maybe this IS what is best to prevent further issues for u. I hope u get some relief soon. Take care.

Oh no! Soreness does go hand in hand with personal training. I don't know why they push to that point. But- just think ur muscles will heal and it won't be so bad next time. Yay u for keeping the appt and working out. Wtg!

So A $3.50 "split Fee" In Our Favorite Restaurant
danyelleb replied to Rootman's topic in The Lounge
It happens. But I agree that if they r going to charge a split fee they should at least split it for u and bring out two plates. That was crappy service. -
LUCK! Keep us posted on how the session went!

Wow Just Sleeved 7 This Morning
danyelleb replied to Avillias's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yay u! Congrats on the surgery. I'm super impressed that ur online already. I just tried to sleep. It seems as if ur off to a great start to a quick recovery. Don't forget to sip and walk as often as u can. I wish u a speedy recovery! -
I don't think it's a sign. It was poor driving conditions. I'm sorry about ur head and the nurse that weighed a buck twenty. Questioning surgery is perfectly normal. It's a major surgery. I'm sure u have given this plenty of thought. I wouldn't read anything into the car accident. I wish u the best of luck!

I've also found that just because u create a 3500 cal deficit it doesn't always equal a pound loss on the scale. It's super frustrating because our sleeved bodies seem to defy all logic and reason. Remember this if u ever hit a stall just keep working out and eating right. The weight will move eventually. Cheers to exercise!!

Wedding Ring Issues?
danyelleb replied to diochick's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have a solid wedding band. I just keep moving it to different fingers. I wore my band on my middle finger. Now it fits on my pointer finger. Lol. I think it drives my hubby crazy, but he doesn't complain much. Lol. I think he'll probably draw the line if I start wearing it on my thumb! I don't think that'll happen though as I'm getting closer to goal. -
Gallbladder Question
danyelleb replied to scaredoftheunknown's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I tried to do the same thing- ask doc to take it out and was told no due to increased risk. Thankfully my doc requires a gall bladder ultrasound for all patients. Surprisingly I had gall stones and didn't know it. So, he ended up removing my gall bladder at the same time afterall. -

danyelleb replied to jhansen71's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
SW: 164 CW: 152 GW: 149 Hi all! I'm a day early because tomorrow is the first day of school! I'm looking forward to meeting my students. So, I dropped one pound this week. I was hoping for the magic three again- no such luck. BUT- I ran my first official 10k in one hour and twelve minutes! The course had hills and I RAN the WHOLE time!! I'm extremely proud of myself. (see pic below) I finished couch to 10K this week as well. just three pounds to go... Good luck everyone! I hope u have a fantastic week! -

Nsv That I Still Can't Believe

Yes! I seriously LOVE me some VST too. I'm mildly interested in a live support group, but I've heard mixed reviews about the one in my area. Maybe some day I'll go. I really find VST to meet that need. I check in throughout the day on my phone- sometimes I reply, other times I just read. I'm five months out and I still check in ALOT. I find it keeps me grounded and it's a lot more beneficial than reading celebrity gossip in my down time. Lol!
