Finally, I Decided To Post A Picture After 5 1/2 Months.

Woo hoo u!! Love it. Congrats on the weight loss! Love love love the boots. Sent from my iPhone using VST -
Honestly I'm just thankful that I CAN workout. I can do things physically that I never thought I could do. I think about the times that it physically hurt to walk to the office from my classroom. Now I can run for miles without stopping. I can do the stair climber at the gym without puking or severe knee pain. I appreciate having the choice to work out. The fact that I have lost 100 pounds also plays a role. I'm deathly afraid of gaining it back. I also LOVE the way I look in clothes. Just a few of my motivating factors. Get ur workout on! Hi! I waited six weeks per surgeons directions, but honestly I don't think I could've done it sooner. I was extremely exhausted for the first month and a half or so. I did walk outside though but nothing over a mile and it was at a slow to mid pace. Sent from my iPhone using VST

U can do it!!! I was the same way. I remember being inspired by another user on this forum (fern). she spoke about running half marathons and her running experience. I dreamed of doing a half. I messaged her and she gave me so much encouragement. So, I started signing up for events- 5ks and then 10ks and then halfs!! Anything is possible just be careful about increasing ur mileage to quickly. And don't forget to stretch. Happy running. Sent from my iPhone using VST

I was 6 or 7 weeks when I attempted running (if u could call it that). I started with just trying to run for 1 minute without stopping. I was sleeved march 12th and ran my first 5k on July 3 and was able to jog the entire time. I can now run 17 hilly miles. I'm going to run a marathon in March. I love running! Couch to 5k/10k is a GREAT program. Good luck with ur running adventures! Sent from my iPhone using VST

Hi March Peeps! I made goal today! I'm so excited to be able to say that I have lost 100 pounds. I can eat a lot more than I want to. I'm fortunate to have developed a passion for running. Since being sleeved, I haven't hit a stall that lasted more than three weeks. I'm so fortunate. I did notice that I had to increase the intensity of my running to get my weight to move. The last five pounds were really slow going. I hope that everyone is doing well! Happy Thanksgiving! -Danyelle

Help Needed - Eating At Night
danyelleb replied to Chicago1962's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Yeah, me too! I want to chew on crunchy salty foods too. Eek, it's horrible. So- when I have self control I drink water or chew a piece of gum for about five minutes. Sent from my iPhone using VST -
Congrats! Yup, u came to the right place! Watch out- I started to become neurotic with all of my upkeep down there just because it's so much easier! U will be etching designs and creating landing strips in no time! Lol! Sent from my iPhone using VST

Aches And Pains Of The Fatlife!
danyelleb replied to Luckystar12's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yup, it's true. Now all of my aches and pains come from overdoing it at the gym, pushing myself too hard on a run, or changing up my workout routine. there's something satisfying about self inflicted aches and pains from exercising vs being sore from being overweight. Im Disgusted!
danyelleb replied to SoonToBeThinKAT's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I went through that. I hated the way everything looked when I was dropping weight quickly within the first 3 months especially. My body would look so yucky and empty/saggy and then it would kind of plump out again. It was as if things needed time to distribute themselves. Don't despair. Exercise helps quite a bit and it seems like the stalls/slow weight loss did too oddly. As for the hubs- I'm glad u acknowledge his patience. Yay support! Try not to burn him out with negativity (I used to criticize my body like crazy). One day I realized that I didn't want to point out nastiness because I was hoping that he didn't see it like I did. It was hard to be sexy when 30 minutes ago I was complaining about my pancake tush. Hang in there! It will get better. Sent from my iPhone using VST -
Woot! Woot! Congrats! All of the c25k and weight loss is showing in ways more than just numbers going down on the scale. Awesome NSV! Sent from my iPhone using VST

No, ur not alone at all! I was thinking about this the other day. We just got our school pix back and I seriously dislike the way my face looks. I'm digging the smaller body, but ick with the smaller face and neck. I figured that I was heavy for years and had a LONG time to get used to seeing that. I need to adjust to the new reflection. As for the compliments- they still sort of bother me if I get more than three or so in a day. This has happened during trainings or if I go anywhere where there are large numbers of people I haven't seen in awhile. Yeah, sometimes the compliments r uncomfortable but I've learned to move on. U will adjust. Ur fears r normal. All of the benefits from being healthier and smaller will outweigh everything else in the end. Sent from my iPhone using VST

Wow, shamr0ck! Thanks for posting this. I've been exercising and sort of weight training. <- id rather do cardio i know that i need both tho. Anyhow, I think I see plastics in my future, but I'm seriously worried about doing anything with the tush or lower body because of the healing aspect. Sent from my iPhone using VST
