    Kaiser Sleevers?

Yes. I was sleeved on March 12,2012 by Dr. Bogohssian. The process went relatively quick and I didn't really have any complaints. I wish that I could've had more help in regards to sports nutrition with the sleeve. No one seemed to have a clue and they still don't. Other than that- I am pleased. Good luck! 16. It gets better, don't despair! I can eat what I want but I get nauseous big time if I eat too much sugar or too much fried foods. I had two Peanut Butter Cookies with chunks of peanut butter cup the other day and was SICK. No vomit and no potty issues. I just felt horrible. I'm almost 10 months out. Hang in there! Don't shush! All great tips! I actually have to use the anti chafe for the girls (sorry guys for the tmi). I had all sorts of problems with finding a good sports bra. I still have issues. My only solution has been to double bra and use an anti chafe around the breast. I didn't see the post by BTB before I posted. Great advice as well. Everybody is different. I've never tried thorlos socks- I'm intrigued. Replacing the shoes can't be stressed enough. I was only at 400 something miles on a pair of brooks and after a couple runs I noticed that I had immediate bruising on my knees and shins after running. Bought new shoes and voila the bruising stopped. Thank you all for posting! I get so much out of reading others' posts.

I take at least one day off. I always have and I have been fortunate enough to remain injury free. I have a friend that would often run back to back and she is always fighting some sort of injuries. Just my two cents...

Yay! I hope u had a great run. I ran yesterday after taking two weeks off due to illness. It was difficult. BUT, it was wonderful! I called it my Christmas present to myself. Unfortunately one of my running friends had to leave because shes having problems with her foot. She took pix of my friend and i running. Merry Christmas! Sent from my iPhone using VST
  20. Dearest Sannah, I'm sorry that ur having complications. I can only imagine having to fight off regret. I had times where I regretted surgery in the beginning and I didn't even have complications. I hope that u have a speedy recovery and that everything will heal up nicely. Here's the inspiration part... The sleeve saved me. I was always a fairly active person before the sleeve, but I wanted to do so much more and my body was holding me back. I stopped doing things because I would panic that I'd get stuck in between two rocks when hiking or caving. I could no longer play at the lake on our boat with my family because I couldn't get out of the Water and onto the boats steps. I stopped riding horses with my youngest son. I hated going to sports events to watch my oldest play football or run track. It hurt so bad to sit on the bleachers without a back or stand for an hour and a half- forget it. I started missing good stuff. The list continues- water slides, roller coasters, taking the kids to fair... Now here I am almost 10 months later. I'm at goal and am considering losing 15 more pounds. I love love love that I have no limits. I can truly do anything that I want to. My family has to now keep up with me! since being sleeved I have gone kayaking, indoor rock climbing, climbed to the top of the tallest waterfalls on the west coast of the US, and became a runner! I can run up to 20 miles. I'm doing a marathon in March! I enjoy my life! Think of all the things I can now do with my family. U will be able to enjoy tons of adventures with ur little one. Hang in there! Sending u hugs and positivity! Sent from my iPhone using VST

    Tamale Yay or Nay?

I would say avoid eating the masa part and stick with just a few nibbles of the inside. Good luck and happy holidays! Sent from my iPhone using VST
