I just remove my band because of acid reflux for almost three years. Question is, I still have acid reflux and when should I expect it to completely go away? I use anti acid when needed

I am starting to have the same problem now. Last week I started to notice a shortness of breathing or in other words have to breathe hard, I went to all Doctors but they said everything looks normal. Then I decided to unfill the band, so I removed 2 cc and asked the doctor if the band could cause a shortness of breathing and he answer no. After I get out of the clinic and while I am walking to my car I started to feel burning in my chest like hell, then I walked back to the hospital seeking help as the feeling was so bad, I sat in the lobby sweating and solve it only buy drinking very cold Water. Today I am using some medication for acid reflux which I hope it help. I can eat everything without any problems however the acid cause me the shortness of breathing. Hopefully this will go soon as it's really worried me. I hope nothing wrong with the band and the band didn't cause any problem to my internal body. I am wondering if set up exercise could affect the port! I mean if I grow muscles in the abdominal, will that push the port out?

I am banded since 14-02-2012 and have had my last fill in january under x ray, the DR said this should be the last fill. From time to time my colon irritated plus my port area, and the band became tighter,I also feel a pain (1 out of 10) around the port area and a pain in my abdominal when I swallow food or liquid ( only with irritated colon symptoms appear). I can eat very well and have no problem with food. When I said irritated colon I mean I have a lot of gas and don't go toilet often and hear the gas noise in the colon area. I went to my GP last month when this symptoms appears, as my surgeon lives in another city. The GP said my stomach seems to be soft, he rang my surgeon and the surgeon advised for two days liquids as he thought that I have an irritated port or band. I followed the surgeon advice and went to a liquid diet for two days which it doesnt seems to help a lot, however the symptoms goes better day after day and only the port area pain remain there. Yesterday I am having the same symptoms again but much less than before. I assumed the colon problem is causing the pain around the port area because I believe there is a pressure of gas around me and looking for a way to go out but all blocked ! Today I am celebrating one year with my gastric band. I have lost already 16 kilos. I am not really sure if that sounds good but I feel pretty good. I wish if I lost more but I did my best. I started 144 kg and now 128 Kg. Please let me know if I am doing good, your support is very important to me. Thanks :-)

The definition of restriction? To those people who reach restriction, what is the definition of restriction? What is it like?

My problem is I get hungry 3-4 hours after meal, and I can eat fast with now problem.

I am 7.5 and still need more. I am not losing not gaining at this point.

I am having the same issues, thanks god I am not alone. I am 7 out of 7 cc witch I doubt about it. The first day after the last filling in the morning food dose not go thru, in the lunch I started to eat a little bit and their after I am starting to eat more and more but normally. Some food do stuck like pure tuna, chicken and rice. I am not sure if what I feel is normal or I do have a kind of slow leakage or maybe I am not 7 out of 7 cc.

I agree with those people who really upset because they are looking for real restriction. My friends and two of my sisters are banded and they feel full if they eat two slices of pizza and no wat to drink or eat after that. To reach this stage you need to be really tight or you could yous the other method "using the band as a tool" in Saudi Arabia the Drs dobthe filling under x-ray and you got the perfect fill. My sister, she is in her perfect wight now shebtold me that when she get filled and go home and feel she is eating ormally she go backbtonthe Dr and let him to add another fill. I thinkbthis is the perfect way to Lose weight because all of us tried to control our self from being eating but we failed and we went for the band to stop us not to help us.

In the first tow days food and drink like bubbling down, but now they go down quicker. I am really worried about possible leakage specially because I didn't feel real restriction until my last fill. Yesterday I stopped eating myself andbthe band didn't slow me down, mybe because I was eating fat free food? I am not sure but what I am sure about is the food go thru very fast with normal chewing.

Hi all I have had my real restriction at my last filling 7cc out of 7 cc. in Every new day I feel restriction is reduced and I am not feeling the same as before but I feel satisfied for long time as before minimum 4 hours. Any explanation

Hi I have my 6thcc today then I went lunch to test it, I eat a whole small pizza! I went back to the doctor asking him for another fill as I am not happy with my current eating habit. He gives me another cc where all come together to 7CC I haven’t eat anything after that but I am hoping to feel real restriction this time. The doctor Saied we can add more than 7CC in a 7CC band! Is that possible?

Trust me guys I never eat until I get stuffed, but thing is food go through quickly not like what I hear frm other, bread, rice and other food all fine for me no restriction. So what is the band role?
