mylifeinpink replied to mylifeinpink's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
We decided she's going to Jerusalem for her surgery, I trust Dr Almanza. This gentleman just started at that hospital that's why there was no information on him at all~ He was brand new. Dr Almamza did my sleeve, and we are taking her there. Congrats on your sleeve! Best of luck to you! <3 -

mylifeinpink posted a topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I will be going to TJ to take my little sister to Jerusalem hospital to be sleeved on Sept 18, anyone else going or taking a companion? Looking for a buddy for a couple of meals, and walks. From taking my poor husband with me in May of 2012, I know how boring it can be! -

how many oz of cooked fish can you eat post op?
mylifeinpink replied to Heather Meyer's topic in Food and Nutrition
I'm 15 months out- I can get 2-3 at the very most 3 of a nice dense piece of fish. I realize it's less than others, but I don't push my tummy, or try to eat more. I stop when I'm full. Usually it's 2 or under. LOVE fresh fish!!! -

I came home 20lbs lighter. I got to my goal of 110lbs lost I'm about 6 months. Take advantage of those golden and precious losing months!!! Before your metabolism catches onto your lower intake. You will struggle to lose every pound after that. Be happy for the loss!!! <3

problems with swelling 2 months post op
mylifeinpink replied to KristieAtkinson's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Just seriously stay on your protein- because a couple lbs WILL sneak on quick and it will go right there!!! You'll be able to see it too. But yes the swelling should subside soon. I still have a little in my back off and on where they did the lipo- and that's the only pain I still have. You're doing awesome girl!!!! -
I feel absolutely beautiful and amazing. I am 12 weeks post op Mommy Makeover, and I could not feel better right now!

problems with swelling 2 months post op
mylifeinpink replied to KristieAtkinson's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Yep, I'm 4 weeks ahead of you, and mine just stopped swelling daily last week~ this is the first week that I have not worn my prescribed compression garment~ I still wear one when cycling, but that's just for comfort~ You should start noticing a slow down pretty soon, BUT everyone is so different, so in your bodies time. My Dr told me, and I have read it can take 6-12 months for the swelling to go away completely, and I have read longer in some. <3 Missy~ -

Ooooouch! I was sleeved with a girl in a similar situation. Except she thinks she was pregnant when she had it. I can put you in contact with her if you'd like. She's had her healthy baby boy a couple months ago - she's a very nice gal, and I'm sure she could offer support and information :-) Missy -
