I am currently 9 days out. Hid my scale and rufuse to pull it back out until weekly weigh in day. Saw my Dr he is pleased with my progress. I am now concerned with getting my protein in. I'm going to head to gnc and purchase some protein powder simply cause I'm having hard time getting my protein shakes in so I'll trick my water and what not. I'm noticing my dimples get deeper and my face shrink. I'm training my mind now to watch my body not the scale for when stalls hit

Surgery Date April 16Th..does Anyone Else Share That Date With Me?
njs_star627 replied to betterthanbefore's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had my sleeve one the 16th as well getting easier each day. Gas pains are about the only pain I have at this point. Soreness is tolerable. I'm trying to up my water intake for I have been drinking a lot of decaf tea and crystal light. I'm walking until my stomach is kinda tight. One more week and Im entering the mushies stage! So glad ill be able to have real food, even if it is mashed to an unrecognizable state lol. Betterthanbefore I admire your honesty. I would not consider you a failure either. Only you and your mind know what your ready for. I commend you for taking the initiative to just live a healthier life style. Good luck!!! -
I have been very bad and have not been taking my medicine to coat my stomach or to prevent gallstones. To begin I recently just got them due to not having my prescription cards, then skipped cause my stomach wasn't empty which one required, lastly I can not tolerate the taste. I tried "tricking" my apple sauce and tea and it just completely over powers. Good point: I am able to get my liquids in. Probably should do some more water. Am I looking for trouble here?

I had to get my mind together. I was doing some regretting about having the surgery. Yet I stepped on the scale and I am down 3lbs and now 4 days post op. I finally got my medication and gas is starting to finally come out due to a lot of walking. I am tolerating A LOT more now, getting my fluids in and (this may be tmi) but I pooped Lmao!!!! I was to excited... I was like that had to relieve some gas. I am sure my surgeons office is sick of me but I call for every little thing. Better sage than sorry. Still some soreness but im gonna go ahead and start taking my pain meds... I'm starting to get excited all over again!!!

I was sleeved Monday here I am wed home and so uncomfortable. I have not had pain meds since I have been home due to my sisters lack of productivity. Grrr I'm almost positive I'm not getting enough fluid it and couldn't tell you what full feels like. My aunt (a lapbander) told me if Im not going to the bathroom on a regular basis (which I am) to drink more. I kinda just want to go back to the hospital

Thank you all Sooooo much! I was sleeved and feel so much better today. Just sore no major pain. I'm officially a loser lol -
Nerves aren't a factor yet. I'm sure I will feel differently when I check in at 5:30 in the morning. Today I am doing straight water until midnight when I can't have anything else. I kid you not I'm sick to my stomach. The smell if food is making me sick I'm so ready!!! Kinda scared of how ill react from anesthesia since this is my first time going under "/

It was rough, not gonna lie I did cheat one day and had a grilled buffalo chicken wrap. Then felt really bad and went back on. I was allowed to have crystal light, jello apple sauce, icees, pretty Much anything decaf, and sugar free. And two Luna bars a day. I lost about 9lbs during the two weeks even with the cheat

Betterthanbefore- I was feeling the same way yesterday. Couldn't put my finger on it and realized, I Have not eaten. I am changing. Woke up with a smile on my face this morning ready for Monday!!! Keep a Journal it helps -
I haven't gotten my surgery yet, but I'm seeing just how realistic depression is without my "drug of choice" food. I'm going to get a journal tomorrow and start looking into support groups. Somethings I just can't talk to ny family and friends about
