The fitness center is new for me. I am really working at it, too. Need to keep up with it, hopefully for life!

Most of that weight gain is from the IV fluids. Saline is one of the solutions hung, and that tends to make things a little puffy for awhile. They also most likely ran at least one bag; 1000cc, or maybe close to two, depending on blood loss, time involved in surgery, etc. Also the stress of surgery on the body, can cause it to retain some fluids. Wait a good week or so before weighing yourself.

If she is vomiting coffee ground looking material, that is old blood, and comes from the digestive tract. That needs to be looked into, and soon, I would hope. Good luck, and let us know how she does...........

Oh my gosh, mine makes those noises too, since I had the surgery!

Geeze, this is not the easiest road to take, is it? Being a bandster is tough, and kinda trial and error. Some of us are hungry, some are just right, others are too tight. I wish we could all just hit that happy medium, who knew going in that it would be like this? I should have read more support group stuff, before surgery; or then again, maybe it's better I did not!

I was just showing my husband my card tonight. Got it from my doctor. Have not tried to use it yet, but it appalls me that certain places will not honor it. No wonder America is getting heavier and heavier! The servings are astronomically huge.

I believe that every laproscopic procedure has pictures taken. I was handed my pictures from my colonoscopy, (yuch). Did you have to ask for the pictures, or did he just give them to you?

Fantastic Jonathon!! I know, hubby has problems buying clothes in Wal Mart and is always happy when he does not have to go to a specialty store, and of course pay a lot more! Lizrbit; that makes sense about the scar tissue, it always did feel like it wanted to pop out, but I am getting more used to it, everyday. MIchelle, I don't really have much tenderness to my incisions, unless the dog jumps up at me when I enter the house! Stay on the bandwagon gang, we can not fall off!!! LOL

I can understand, Marlene, I think many here have been through that. I am early enough in the banding, but I could see it happening to me. Heck it has happened for years without the band. My vice, too is eating. When there are family problems, or such, I eat. Eating has also been a comfort when I am sick. Others lose weight when they are ill, nope, not me! Hopefully, we can all pull through this together..........

I am not losing too fast, either. And I know that I don't eat anywhere near as much as I used to. I did taste some pizza, but all that chewy, chewing, I got tired of it fast!

Tracy, It sure is great to hear you feeling better! That is so cool that life is looking up, the pain is less, and sounds as though the other yucky things are going away! Yippee! I have to wait until 3/23 for first fill. Going to follow your wisdom, and even though I can eat more, I will not!!!

It does protrude slightly, but you will get used to it, and it will "fit in" better soon.

You will have to catch us up with your progress, or problems with the band.

Ok, I found it it. Target has it for 49.95. I was actually thinking of buying the AB Lounger. Anyone have that?

Poor girl, I understand. I have had those disapointments too in the past. It seems like it will never come. Hang in there, someday you will have what you want.

Oh, I have heard of Activa. I will look at it. I have been cheating and eating Yoplait Whips. Yummy, but cheating a little bit!

Oh Sunny, that is a tough one. Sorry you had to go through that. Us bandsters are creating our own set of emergencies to deal with in ER's now. They will need to have docs familiar with banding problems in all ER's if we keep coming up with band emergencies! Good luck to you........

Hey, hey guys, I am about as Eastern USA as they get, (a few miles and it is a walk in the ocean)!!.......Well, anyway, I have never heard of prune yogurt! What the heck?? LOL We don't have a Kruger's or Dillon's for that matter. However, we are getting a Harris Teeter, anyone ever heard of that food store? Apparently it comes from the south, but not sure.

Welcome! I too had a lot of family problems, spanning over a two year period, which caused me to gain weight over my already overweight state. For me it was almost a last ditch effort to get control of my life. Having all of those family tragedies, I felt as though I had no control, and at least now I faced an option to help me, and let me gain control once again. I was glad to have help after surgery, and if you have a good friend to peek in on you now and again, that would be easier for you. Good Luck with your decision........

I am in the same boat. Banded 2/14. Can not wait until the first fill, hopefully that will be a help. I am trying, but it is very easy to cheat. I am hoping that going to the gym will help. Good luck to us!

Good luck on your journey. Sounds as though you are keeping a good attitude,and sometimes that is half the battle. Beat the illness, and keep on going!

Can you tell me what it is? Guess I am not up on the current workout trends!
