Also, something to think about, most ports are stitched to a muscle. You mentioned it only "moves" when you get out of bed. Think about how many muscles you are using to make that movement. You would be surprised. So now that you have a foreign object stitched to it, you can feel the movement under the skin as it slides with the muscle. Next time you get up from a lying position place you hand over the port... If the port doesn't "jiggle" for lack of a better word, but moved with the movement of muscle it is probably fine but make sure to talk to your surgeon about it to make sure it hasn't flipped. Good luc on your recovery!

If your concerned about it actually moving then call your surgeon. They may need to look at it and feel it. Otherwise, it could just be that your not used to a foreign object in there. Good luck!!!

It's your port. It's not unusual and as soon as you get used to feeling it you will not even notice it. :-)

I would try the five day pouch test now. Also, are you getting all your Protein in first?
-
You should ask your doctor... I was given Rectal suppositories for nausea because anything by mouth was not working for me.

Tighter Band Caused By Less Water Intake?
Jen75 replied to HeatherMarie's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Absolutely!!! Also, I find stress does not allow me to eat either.. When what your describing happens to me, I cut back and go on liquids a day or two to let the band calm down.... It helps me a lot! Good luck! -

It sounds like you are eating a lot of "slider" foods... Try eating more solid Protein and. It down the sweets or up the gym. I am three year out also. There are some things I don't want to modify (like an occasional drink after a long week) but I worry and work out more to accommodate it. -
Well' date=' my scars are there and really faded. I Can barely see them. They blend in with the rest of my stretch marks that I had from all the weight! Lol my scars don't bother me!

Friend Wants Me To Go Out To Dinner & Drinks...(Not)
Jen75 replied to Lilbelly's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
What about going out for a coffee or tea and chatting somewhere at a coffee house. I agree with elcee and toddy, no reason down the road you wouldn't be able to enjoy her company and a meal out. Remember, this is a lifestyle change, not a reprimand. Don't lose site of yourself but also try not to stop living your everyday life either. Best of luck! -
"Even to now I suffer with that feeling in my chest but so far (touch wood) I do a bit of rocking and it relives it!!!" It's funny, to this day (I'm three years out) and find myself rocking like a baby to burp or get things to move! My family thinks I'm crazy. My dh points it out all the time as I don't even notice I'm doing it! Lol

Question About My Teeth
Jen75 replied to Shannon28's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I too have had the halitosis at times and the coating on the tongue. It happens if i drink more then 2 shakes a day. I've also had a change with cavities. I spent 34 years without one cavity and then the last two years 5 cavities have popped up. Small but needed repair. Wondered if diet change made the difference as at times I wasn't eating enough Protein and also for a while I was PBing, sliming and occasionally vomiting. Even talked to the dentist about the correlation and he just said to make sure to brush after an episode. Didn't know of any specific thing from the band that would cause cavities specifically. Could be my age, could be the fact that all my sealants from childhood were gone, the surgery, diet, or a combination of It all. Who knows. Just something I think about. Anyone else have an issue with this? -
