  1. Woo Hoo!! Yes, it is hard work, but you will see the results and know you made the best decision for you. I am out 4 weeks with my revision and down 12 pounds (after a 6 month stall with the band, LOL) Just got back to the gym and doing my RIPPED classes with modifications.

    I'mmm Sssstalling

Welcome to Week Three. Wondering what it was all about and why. I am only down 9-10 pounds, but I have been on this journey for awhile. Quick update: I had the lapband put in March of 2012, then removed after a 6 month stall on March 19 of this year. It had slipped. I had a revision to the GVS. So, I had already lost weight the first time. Down 34 pounds. Found someone who posted this link: http://www.dsfacts.com/weight-loss-stall-or-plateau.html . It completely explains why you stop losing the weight. It does make sense to me though. So, as my body stores water to make more Glycogen, I am planning on reviewing my complete plan. I know for a fact that I haven't been able to consume enough food and water. I know that I haven't really been working out and walking enough. I know for a fact that I haven't been taking the correct amount of vitamins. Baby steps. But, if I just take a look and tweak it, I think I should be good to go.

  5. Don't beat yourself up. You are supposed to try the foods on your list slowly. Remember, your stomach is just like a baby's tummy. Wouldn't give a baby an enchilada - oh my. If you eat something and it doesn't go so well, just hold off on that food and try it later on. I'm out two weeks and think I may have a problem with milk products right now. Holding off on some things. Craving some crab salad. Going to make a health recipe and try an ounce today. We shall see.

If you talked to the on call doctor, then I think you'll be fine until you can get in tomorrow for a same day appointment. I would suggest that you take it easy today. Take some Tylenol to help with the pain and fever. Drink plenty of fluids. If anything changes before tomorrow, like your fever goes up and the pain level goes up, call that on call doctor again.

    Anyone Here In Washington?

I'm new here and live over on the Kitsap Penisula in Bremerton. Yeah, I'm a navy wife. LOL!! I just had the Lapband Removal and Sleeve Revision, and an Incision Hernia Repair on 3-19-13 at Madigan Army Medical Center. I "was" scheduled with Dr Sebesta, but he had to go out of town. Dr Hague stepped in and did my surgery. Feeling fine a week out and just want to say hello!!
  10. I've been getting on daily. I guess I better hide my scale then. My surgery date was 3-19-13 and I'm down 5 pounds. Good for you with 8.5!! Woohoo!

    Banded 3/13/12

Hey everyone. I just thought I'd finally post a note. I too, had my band placed on the 13th. I haven't really felt well enough to log in online and even do facebook. The gas has finally passed and the pain in my left shoulder is gone. Still feeling pain in my incisions and just taking it easy. Hope you all are feeling better by now.
