I'm 2 weeks post op and I feel like I can eat anything??!! I seen the Dr and he said I should start eating as long as I chew slow and eat soft foods...well...I had some mashed beans maybe 1/3 cup....didn't bother me...no pain, gas nothing??? Then the next day I had some grilled chicken, maybe 2 tablespoons and the same thing....no gas, pain nothing?? And i feel like i can keep eating...i just dont because i dont want to strech my stomach. I never get that "food stuck in my chest" feeling that ive read about...or even throw up??? I must say in a crazy wierdo way im longing for that feeling so that i know the surgery worked!!!!???? But then this morning I was soooo constipated that I felt like I was going to pass out!!!!! I was on the toilet for about an hour...sweeting, heart racing etc. My question is...how come I can eat and drink whatever I want?? I've been drinking 3 protien shakes with no prob. and @24oz of water....I have a feeling my Dr didn't cut enough stomach out???? Is this common or possible?????

Okay! Thanks Ladies!!! I feel better....I think I'm going to slow it down a bit...and stick to cottage cheese, Greek yogurt and cream soups!!!! Just to play it safe!!!! Keep your fingers crossed!!!!!

Had my sleeve done Tues 12/11...it was awful!!! Nausea!!!!!! But I got through it!!! Now I'm home and wondering why my stomach isn't full??? I can drink three 11oz shakes and 16oz of water with no problem???? Is this usual!???? I hope he took enough stomach out!!!! Kinda getting worried!!!!! Any advise????

Wow! I too felt the same way when I started and now I only have 2 more months to go! I should only have 1 month but i skipped a month....darn!!! But this month I meet with the Financial Advisor who is getting me set up with all the "pre" surgery things, as well as submitting my paper work to my insurance BCBS.....I'm soooo nervous because I just want it done!!!! I'm hoping there's no holdup with the insurance because it's hard to make arrangements with work and the kids school!!!!! Ahhhhh!!!! I can't wait!!!!!!!

Oh wow! What is your current BMI??? Did you do the 6 month classes at your surgeon's office??? I have a BMI of 42 and my first class is this month...it's $60 a session for 6 months...I hope I'm not wasting my time and money!!!!! I already went to the seminar and met with the Dr & insurance coordinator and they said I qualified...then I hear story's like yours and I start thinking I'm going to have a heartbreak!!!

What's the cost for the sleeve in Mexico??? I might not have any other options....

I have B/S and Bariatrics is covered through my insurance...so they say...anyway, I won't know if I'm approved untill I'm done with the 6month dietician classes???? My BMI is 42% and when I went to the seminar they said that was enough.....does this sound normal???
