What Will Happen If I Don't Follow The 2 Week Preopp Diet?
lisalalani replied to Bigdogkc's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The pre-op diet is for two reasons, imo, 1. Shrink your liver and 2. to help you with will power and getting in the right frame of mind for your lifestyle change. Think of NIKE and "Just Do It"! It is HARD, but it is ALL so worth it! I wish you the best! -
I just weighed myself and I am now down 62 pounds! My pants are falling off! I had to order some new ones. I am looking forward to the time I can go into a store and buy them instead of online!

Cigna Revised Policy
lisalalani replied to JustSleeveMe23's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I payed $2,400 the day before and the $2000 the day of, so yeah, I guess it was up front. That btw, was just surgery, not all the psych eval, nut, and exercise classes. -
Yes, you can, but VERY LITTLE!!!

Cigna Revised Policy
lisalalani replied to JustSleeveMe23's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey Cigna Sleevers! I got sleeved March 28, 2012. I had to do the 6 mos thing. I got denied one time because they "lost" my doctor letter. I re-faxed it, and got approved right away. We ended up paying $4,400 total. $4,000 was my deductible and $400 for the hospital admit. It was SO worth it!!!! I really didn't have a hard time with Cigna at all. I am so happy with my sleeve. I am LOVING it! Good luck to the rest of you on your journey! I wish you well! <3 -
I am doing great! Tomorrow I have my exercise consult. They are going to re-measure me. I am excited for those totals. I have been seeing and feeling a difference. I am looking forward to the next 50 lbs of! I am LOVING my sleeve!!!!!

Hi All March Sleevers! I got sleeved on March 28th and I think I am doing well. I am down 44 lbs., 28 lbs. down since surgery. I have slowed down since the introduction of solid foods, but I am okay with that. My Nut wants me eating 6X a day. That has been tough. I think I am doing better with that, though. I notice that I get hungry every 2 hours or so. I try to get protein first. It has been wonderful to eat veggies again. I think I have a "Sleeve of Steel". I can pretty much eat anything. There hasn't been anything that has given me a hard time. I love my sleeve and that the 44 lbs. I have lost are 44 lbs. I will never have on my body again. I am very pleased.

Ugh! I am 3 weeks post op and on mushies. I thought i was hungry so I made some egg salad. I had 3 bites. I totally feel sick to my stomach like I am going to throw up! Apparently I am FULL! I thought I was hungry! I don't know if I am going to ever figure out what the difference between hungry and full are. This has happened once before. I totally want to throw up. UGhhh!

March Sleevers..are You Happy W/your Progress?
lisalalani replied to DDFinn's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was sleeved on March 18. I feel happy with my weight loss, but I have hit a stall, too! Pre op I lost 16. My one week post op I had lost another 13. Since then I have lost a total of 33. I thought I would have lost more by now. I feel frustrated. I will keep going, though. -
Thanks everyone! I just don't get how the signals can be so confusing.
