  1. I suppose I am one of the lucky ones, essentially no real pain. I only used the PCA morphine button 7 tmes prior to them removing it after my leak test. I was sleeved on July the 10 and came home at 2pm the following day. I've had a c section, hysterectomy and the old fashioned gallbladder removal. This is by far the easiest though of all my previous surgeries the gallbladder was the worst. No issues getting my 64 ounces of Water in. Just a little pain if I over fill my sleeve..
  2. I had a hiatal hernia repair as well as the sleeve and I'm not having any additional issues as far as I can tell.
  3. Excellent idea, my phone ended up on the floor at least once because the outlet was too far from where the phone needed to be.
  4. I had my sleeve done as scheduled. I was discharged approx 22 hours post op. No real issue with pain other than gas pains but that is tolerable. I had a PCA for pain, and only used 7 mg of Morphine before the discontinued it. Never had issues with nausea or vomiting. I'm already getting my 64 ounces of Water in with no problem. I'm supposed to start full liquids today. I'm debating if I want to do one additional day of clears. I'll tell you what amazes me, my sense of taste has changed already. SF Jello is gross. Too sweet but bitter at the same time. Walking and moving around as well as rolling from side to side in bed are helping to move the air. The worst thing about the surgery was the 4 stick it took for them to start my iv. I am not a hard stick and actually lay the fault on the nurses skill level.
  5. The staples are titanium and are MRI safe.
  6. I read a post from another member here earlier today and she said something about the amount she has lost, except she did not use the word LOST. She said released. I like that better, LOST means that some unlucky soul might FIND all these pounds and that would be just horrible. I really like the idea of releasing these pound and NEVER finding them again. So after tomorrow I will be posting how many pounds I am RELEASING, and I pray I can release them at a steady rate. So ladies and gentlemen, what do you think?

    I Am Ashamed/embarassed

It does get easier. I was only required to do 5-6 days of full liquids, sugar free, low carb. I started at 10 days out to ease myself into it. I am on my last day, and honestly I have no cravings, and I am not hungry. I have probably had way less today so far than any other day.

    I Am Ashamed/embarassed

Everyone stumbles along the way. You made wise choices it seems, as long as the chicken was not battered and deep fried. Put your big girl panties and do better tomorrow. Don't beat yourself up.
  11. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and will pray that all is ok.

Answer. LOL I am sure this post just got away from you, but I could not resist.

    Question

I don't have clear liquids pre op, just 2 days post op.
  15. Since the pre op diet is optional I would suggest that if you are really hungry that you eat off of the high protein and low carb diet he gave you for part of the day and do liquids when you can tolerate them without a huge amount of hunger.

    Liquid Tylenol

Quote There's no consistency at all, other than generally you do not try to have well done steak the day of surgery. Unfortunately I have've heard stories about people who have done exactly that.

    Tzatziki Lassi/shake

    I second your YUM!

    Worried

Not a post opper, but the answer is going to be dense Protein. It stays in the sleeve longer and delays the hungry feelings. You might be having issues with reflux too. Or maybe thirst.

    Tzatziki Lassi/shake

Smoggy, I've lived in several foreign countries and know what a lassi is, I also know that cooks helper is not something common in the US. I have a feeling you are going to have to explain your concoction a bit more. FYI it sounds wonderful to me though.

    Liquid Tylenol

Different strokes for different folks. Just like not every one has the samepre or or post op food progression plan, not all docs have the same rules for pills.

    Liquid Tylenol

The CVS version is called Rapid Burst and is cherry flavored. It states on the bottle it has the same ingredients but is not made by McNeil. I think it was 5.99 for 8 ounces. I can't find an expiry date. I think the Tylenol on Amazon was 16.00 for 8 ounces. The had a knock off version on amazon that was cheaper but looking at the label I noticed some misspelled wording. NOT for me.
  22. What the facility bills the insurance company for, and what the hospital accepts for payment are two drastically different amounts. What they actually get is a fraction of what they bill for. I would venture to say that it is fairly close to what "self payer" pay for the surgical package.

    Liquid Tylenol

I purchased the CVS version, the dosage is more adult driven than what you will get with the children's version. I did find Adult Tylenol online at Amazon buy they wanted a fortune for it.

    Kidney Stones Post Op

They should do a stone analysis to determine what causes the stones and can put you on a stone specific diet.

    Resturant Card To Print Out

The menus at Disney for kids are an exception to the rule in regards to most kids menus. Have you ever really looked at the garbage.
