  1. I am 16 days post op and up until a few days ago I have had minimal problems. Wednesday and today I have had bouts of "vomiting" meaning I feel really sick my mouth gets watery I go to the toilet my stomach tenses but nothing comes out. This is even after drinking 2 minutes before. I am dry heaving basically. My question is that normal for sleeves? Since our stomachs hold so little can I just not throw up normally?

Am I The Only One That Wasnt On A Pre-Op Diet?

I was require to also do the six months of dieting but my doctor and staff explained to me that it is also important to do the pre op diet because of after the surgery. It took me 2 months to give up coca cola. Then I had to change my eating habits trying to eat and not drink at the same time. They told me that people who try this before surgery are more prepared after surgery. If you are a self pay the 6 months does not apply but there are bad habits to break.

    Uninsurable?

Unfortunately this is something I have read about WLS many company's deny you coverage because of the surgery. Most company's require you to be 2 years with no complications before they will insure you. I really was taken aback by this and even though I have been with my company for many years I had to take some time to think about the surgery because of this.
  4. I am 9 days post op and I have been feeling great. No problem drinking getting my liquids and Protein then yesterday I started having a hard time drinking Fluid. I felt a sick to my stomach and bloated and had to force myself to drink. Last night I felt such a exits I couldn't get to sleep. I woke up this morning and I still don't fell like I can drink and I fell really shaky. I have never had depression or anexiety issues. I also did not have any comorbities like diabetes or high blood pressure. But I do fell weak and dizzy today almost like my sugar is low or something. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice that could help I'm never sick and feel like I'm going crazy.
  5. Thanks for all the help I talked to my dr. Office and they gave me similar advice. I am now worried about a blockage in my stomach I feel stuffed compared to normally feeling satisfied and I am burping up tons of air almost like my stomach is trying to digest but it's not going down. I feel stuff up to my esophagus. I almost wish I could just throw up to feel better.
  6. I am 30 yrs old. I'm 5'3" and my pre op weight was 289. I got my sleeve on 3/29 and I was 274. I am 3 days out from surgery and I am already at 267. I've lost 7 pounds! I feel amazing I have read so many things about feeling weak and sick but my doctors and nurses were amazing and I had so many classes and had 6 months of supervision to prepare me. Surgery day was tough because unlike so many other I have no co-morbid diseases, I had never been under general anesthesia before. I have had 3 c sections so I was prepared for the pain. The next day I walked 3 laps around my floor every 2 hours and the more I walked the better I felt. I drink 2 oz. of liquid every 30 minutes. I struggle to get enough fluid, protein, and carbs throughout the day but each day is a little easier. I don't go back to work for another 2 weeks so I hope by then I will be on puréed foods so I can work with stopping every 30 minutes. I would love to keep in touch with everyone I don't really have a goal weight but my goal is to have lost enough by July to ride all the rides at Disney with my kids because we are taking a huge family vacation!!!
