  1. I am now 7 days post-op from banded plication. As of today I am still a little less than normal, but I am no where as weak and tired as I was over the weekend and even Monday. You are probably getting dehydrated and not getting enough calories in. Remember Calories=energy. I picked up some of the low cal gatordte and have been sipping on that for the electrolytes and calories I think that has helped out a lot. I even went for a 20 minute walk yesterday after "light" shopping for about 2 hours. Good luck!

    Under The Gown Jitters!

The same as everybody else, they will be respectful and aren't there to gawk or looking at you private areas. it is just a sterile process and that is the only reason for under garments not to be worn. I have given birth to 3 crazy boys and once you've been there with what seems like the whole world to see your stuff, it just isn't that big of a deal... In a medical setting

    March Bandsters!

March 28th! 3 more days I am so ready for this. I used to be scared to death of having the surgery, but I am looking forward to it now. I'm sure as I am walking into the hospital my nerves will kick in, but I am totally ready for this!

Two Week Liquid Diet In The Works...

I am scheduled for surgery on 3/28 I just had my pre-op appt this past Friday and my surgeon didn't say anything about a pre-op diet so I started freaking out a little. I have been looking up diets and all so I guess I am going to start trying to be very careful this last week. I have been trying to get my eating habits in check last month.

    Gastric Band With Plication

Thanks guys for the info. I have done a lot of searching online this weekend and have found a bit of info. I have also seen that people seem to be pretty successful. I have decided to go ahead and do the banded plication procedure. Since the plication is a newer procedure I am just a bit concerned of the longtime affects. Not enought to stop me from doing it though! 10 more days I am so excited and nervous and trying to keep my expectations in check!
  7. I am new! I just had my pre-op appt this morning and my surgery is set for March 28th. The option of the band with plication was brought to my attention. I am having my surgery at OSU and they are conducting a research study and i was asked if I would like to be a part of it. I have been searching for people who have had it done and what their experience with it has been. I have found study's and results on regular plication, but I want to hear from somebody who has actually had it.
