OK. So I can seriously eat anything..............HELP!
spainter2009 replied to lovedXJesus's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am one year post op and I can tolerate most everything however I can eat all of the bad stuff that has all the bad calories in it. It is very tuff to stick to the plan when you can eat fast food and really pretty much anything you want. I have been at a stand still in weight loss since January and this scares me to death. I don't want to stretch my pouch out but I really am struggling with everything. What are some things you all do to keep the cravings down. and what do you do when you have them. I didn't get fat by having self control and now I still don't have any. Any help would be great. -

I am just a year out from my bypass and I can eat whatever I want just in smaller position and this scares me so much. I been counting calories and even tho I can't each as much I still can eat a ton of calories. I have been at a plateau for about three months now. I need some help on how to get back on track. -

spainter2009 replied to Bingcherry's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was about 2 weeks out and I was hungry I said it was head hunger most. I am not 10 months out and I get hungry my tummy will tell me HEY I NEED TO EAT !!!!. I do seem to still get hungry and I think that I am starving but I try not to eat. The one thing that I am finding that in the afternoons I want to munch on chips or something salty. I am having a tuff time with Protein and it not hurting my pouch so I am not sure where to go or how to get it all in. -

When do you know that you are over eatting. I had my surgery on Jan 21, 2014 and i am about 8 week on Friday. I am able to tollerate a lot of foods that I am not sure that I am to be eatting. I can eat salad which I was told that I may not be able to eat ever. The doctor is telling me that I should be at 800 calories a day however the dietaitian is saying that I still need to be at 400 calories a day... I am hungery at 400 calories and was not losing any weight. Now that I up my caliorie intake I am dropping weight every week. I just dont want to strect out my pounch and go back to the way that I was. Any ansers would be great.

I am right now at a little more than 1/4 of a cup but not near a 1/2. I am still learning when I am full and when I can eat more. I have slowed down eating becuase I was getting sick really bad. I wasnt keeping anything down,. I would eat and it would come right back up. So now I am eating slower. I have found that romane lettuce is much better for me than iceberg and I have to make sure that it is shreeded up but I am excited to eat it again.

One of my things that I am having a hard time with is not drinking when I am eating. How did you all not do this. I grew up always drinking with my meals. I dont want to strech out my pouch. Any Ideas would be great. Thanks
