  1. I was sleeved August 28! Ive lost 10 pounds. Just started puréed today. I get full so fast. I actually tried baby food. The ham and ham gravy has a good amount of protein' date=' but I had to add some salt and pepper. I can't get a large egg down. I can have two small slices of banana after I've eaten my ounce and a half of Protein. Really trying to get my Water in... I just need to learn to have water on me at all times and just sip away. Takes me a half hour to sip 8 ounces of water.

One thing I've noticed it that I don't have much of a desire to eat! I have to remind myself. Need to get on a schedule too. Going to be hard with work. But I can do it!!! Looking forward to being healthy :):):)[/quote']

I know exactly what you are saying. I too need to put myself on a meal schedule. I really miss drinking water the normal way, can't seem to get the sipping together.. :-)

  2. Congrats Kimmyiet! Lucky you to get mushy foods! I have to keep with the full liquids til Tuesday' date=' end of my second week. Been challenging to get enough Protein and calories. But I just made a drink with Pro Complex, banana, 1 tablespoon smooth Peanut Butter and milk and have 39 grams of protein. I have to dress up those Protein Drinks to get 'em down![/quote']

Thank you mobetterme! Tuesday isnt that far away. You can do it!!! Oh that sound yummy, i must try that Protein Shake. I love anything with peanut butter, I hope my tummy still loves it too... LOL

  3. Congrats Kimmyiet' date=', when was you surgery date?? Mushy foods sound so good right now[/quote']

Thanks socal13... My surgery was on Aug 30th and i was pretty surprised myself for the short stay on Clear Liquids, but he does have me on mushy foods for 3 weeks and today he told me very firmly that i am not eat solid foods. I gave him my word, heck i can only eat a couple of bites of mushy foods and then I'm full...

  4. Pre-Op doctor's visit was yesterday. My starting weight was 250lbs and my current weight is 240lbs. Surgeon talk to me about what to expect and also what could go wrong. At first my nerves weren’t bothering me but after the doctor's visit they are a little shaky. I know they will get worse by next Wednesday night and probably will be off the scale come day of surgery Thursday. Since I had my gallbladder removed yearssss ago, he expects me to some scar tissue that he will have removed. Didn’t have to do a pre-op diet so I guess that’s a good thing but overall, I'm doing well. Surgeon told me that I would be on Clear Liquids for a week and then move to the next stage. He told me to focus on getting the liquids and Vitamins in and purchase the Protein that you sprinkle over your food and to make sure that I purchased the right protein products as quite a few on the market have a bunch of calories contained in them. I'm looking forward to August 30th, I'm ready to start being and feeling a lot healthier..

7 more days until surgery! YAY!!! :D

  5. Oh wow, congrats. I know you're super excited. Your insurance made their decision quick. I hope I'm as lucky. I also watch jmcbribe and a few others (ebonneza and shar0613)How are doing on your pre op diet or were you even required to do one? Have you purchased anything for pre or post op?

Thank you! I'm getting excited, I've just been trying to stay busy and not think about it to much. My doctor does not require a pre op but i've been doing my own and I can't tell you if I lost weight because i refuse to get on the scale. I will know the truth this Wednesday when i have my pre-op appointment. That's probably when the nerves will take over.. LOL... As for as purchasing anything major just the normal things for my hospital stay. I hope your decisions goes by fast maybe they'll surprise you and give you a decision one day this week coming.. Good luck!!

  6. I had my last doctors appt on Tuesday' date=' and all of my information was submitted to insurance on Thursday so i'm in my two week wait. I'm excited and scared all at the same time and I'm finding myself obsessing over the outcome. I will be documenting my journey on YouTube, my channel name is lylymarey.

What did some of you do to get through the wait?

Are there any blogs, or youtubbers you watch that have encouraged you to get through this?

    [/quote']

Hi lylymarey.. my paperwork was submitted on June 25th and the insurance approved it on June 29th, my wait wasn't long at all. Actually my coordinator didn't inform that she had submitted. I just received a call from her telling me that I had been approved. I'm a YouTube watcher and I follow jmcbribe. She has really encouraged me in my journey. Good luck on your journey and I'll be following you on YouTube. Oh my surgery is in 11 days!! :D
