You will know! If you eat something and it's not going through, its almost like really bad indigestion, my chest HURTS! At least that's how it is for me! However, last night, the baked chicken I ate must have been too dry, because I woke up at 12:30 in so much pain and didn't know whyn it was a different kin of pain. It was like my port site hurt internally! I made myself throw up, which I was surprised the food was still there, and I felt better. I figured it had be 5 hrs since I ate dinner, I figured I had already digested it! Good luck! Don't worry too much about what you eat, just concentrate on chewing it enough! In the beginning I could eat everything, now, listening to other people's "can't haves", I realize other people can eat what I can't, or I can eat what they can't! You will be different also, and you will figure it out as you go!

Last night while I was googling "slipped lap band symptoms" I came across a blog or something where the person said that sometimes, if it's a bad time of year for pollen, and allergies, and sinus issues, it can cause your esophogous to swell. It may have been here where I read it....it was late! Does any one know if there is any truth to this???

I've had my lap band since August 2011! I've had about 4 fills now, so I think I have a little more than 8cc in it.y last fill was in January. Suddenly, last Friday I started to notice I couldn't eat as much, then Saturday I ate less. Now today, I can't eat anything solid. When I went to my dr. yesterday, he told me I needed to work through it on my own, that he thinks it's something I'm not chewing well enough or not drinking 4oz before meals. Now tonight, after I threw up my chicken broth I had a pain at my band/port sight for a while. Has my band slipped, or do I have something stuck inundate pouch???

Ok, update: just left the doctor! He did a barium swallow and said everything looked great, no laddy taffy stuck (whew), and no slippage! He did take out .2cc and wants to see me back in 1 mo. He said this just happens sometimes, and it's nothing I did or could fix! Thanks for everybody's input! Now I'm sitting at Atlanta bread company all byy lonesome, having a yummy bowl of French onion soup!!

I've my tried raw eggs, just because the thought I it gross's me out! I can however eat egg drop soup from the Chinese rest. But any time I've tried to scramble, fry, or eat hard boiled eggs, they usually come back up! I may get down 1 scrambled egg white if I eat it really slowly, but that's not even worth it to get out my frying pan!!

Thanks! I'm waiting until 9am to call when they are open! I did ind out in January that my doctor is no longer working with the hospital and their bariatric program. They have a new coordinator and surgeon. So I know it won't be hard to switch when the time comes. Good thing about working in the medical field and in a huge medical community, I hear things! So latest I've heard is that his hearts not in it anymore, and he doesn't seem to care as much!

No soft bread for me, or eggs! Sometimes I can eat chicken, if it's moist, however, I cannot eat leftover chicken because it is dry! I can sometimes eat melted cheese, but not a lot at one time! And I can forget heating up the left over dip that's full of cheese! I have no problems eating it great out of the oven, but once it's reheated it's a negative! I used to be able to eat chicken nuggets, like if I was traveling and needed to get fast food, but since my last fill ie had to cut that out too! Sometimes I can eat pizza but only if it's thin and crispy! Also, breakfast is a hit and miss! Sometimes I can eat, and sometimes I can't!!

I have problems with every type of eggs! Which stinks!!! I would wait a few days to see if it loosens a little! I have had that problem in te past and after a few days it got better, or I would get a fill and have no more restriction than I did before, then after about 3 or 4 days, I would suddenly notice that I had more restriction! Thanks! I plan on calling tomorrow, but I'm so irritated by his response yesterday, I dot even want to call him back! He kept saying "your not too tight, I don't want to take any saline out". Well no crap...I don't want you to take anything out, but I also dont want my hair to start falling out! So should I demand a barium swallow before him taking saline out??
