  1. I will add you to the list.
  2. The good news: I'm down 2 sizes in my shirts and pants and 1 band size and 1 cup size in my bra and I'm only 5 1/2 weeks postop. The bad news: all that money I've saved on food, went to clothes today I'll probably wear for a "minute". Totally, 100% loving my sleeve. It is my favorite body part. :-)

The Good News & The Bad News

Good idea. I hadn't thought if that. Thanks.

The Good News & The Bad News

Thanks y'all. It was totally fun pitting on a size I haven't worn in years!
  5. No email yet. I haven't been home almost all day and actually still am not. My sister and brother in law are out and I'm at their place with my niece and nephew. I will try and get it out soon. I promise.

    Tired Of Waiting

Well. I'm hoping since we didn't hear from you, that means you had surgery.

    Incision!

They also cut through that muscle....or at least my doctor did.
  8. I had the same thing too. I was just glad it was that and not constipation. It will get better.

    Incision!

Try using an abdominal binder or a control garment like Spanx. It was a life saver for me. Also, try using a heating pad. I hope you feel better soon!
  10. Hey Toni. I got your message. Sorry I haven't gotten back to you yet. I will try to later today. Ttys.

    Tired Of Waiting

Yeah, why the wait to see if its a go. I'm up the road in Plano. I'm sending positive vibes down your way! I hope you are getting them.

    Sleeved A Week Ago

You are so early out and what you are going through is completely not unexpected at this point. Just keep sipping. Also, warm liquids go down easier in the beginning. I used chicken stick with a bullion cube and my sleeve loved it. Also, I am only 5 weeks, 4 days out and have been able to take decent sized gulps for almost 2 weeks without pain. However, I can still feel it in my chest but it doesn't hurt. It's more like pressure. And, just one other tidbit of information. It was exactly 4 weeks after surgery that I woke up feeling "normal" and it is the best feeling ever. Give yourself time to heal and you will be LOVING your sleeve. It my favorite part of my body. :-)

    How Many Times A Day....

I'm right there with you. There was a lady at my lunch table who doesn't know about my surgery. When I put my food away today she asked me if I was done. I said yes. She then proceeded to ask me if I didn't like it. I told her I loved it but I was full and she commented that I had barely eaten anything. I just left it at that.

    Leaks?

I was told it takes 12 weeks for the stomach to heal and after that, there is very, very little chance of complications.

    On My Own Terms

I told a few people and told all of them I would appreciate if they didn't tell anyone. Well, when I came back to work, several people approached me about my surgery and based on their comments, I knew they knew. At first, I was kinda upset. Now, I really could care less who, at work knows. I guess because those who said something to me were very sweet and supportive. Look at it this way, what's done is done. Don't waste your energy on being upset for too long because it won't change anything except keeping you stressed. Best of luck to you!

    Valuables In The Hospital

I've been in the hospital a couple of times and never needed my wallet either. My mom has been in the hospital MANY times sometimes for weeks at a time. She always took things like her phone, ipod, ipod speakers and other similar things and never had an issue with things being stolen and she left her stuff out so it would be in reach whenever she needed it.

    I Am Afraid..

As Lea Anne said, try not to worry about the future. I've tried really hard to stay present in this journey and have done fairly well. However, I did have thoughts about failing but at 5 weeks postop, I'm not so worried anymore because my sleeve is awesome and doing its job! Best of luck to you on your journey.
