I love the idea that Healthy gave. It shows we are human and it builds on our successes.

Egg, Chicken, And Tuna Salad...good To Go For You?
larch replied to Passionatehrt's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I have been eating it every day at work. Now that you mention slider foods-you may be right. Sometimes, I can only get in a few bites and other days-the whole thing. One thing I did notice is how much sodium tuna has! Yikes!!! I am in the process of trying to find some alternatives. A 3 oz. chicken breast is a whole lot healthier and will make me chew, chew, chew then having the tuna. I am going to work on my lunch menu. Thanks for mentioning slider foods because I can totally see that as being so. -
I drink, Pure Protein Frosty chocolate shakes. They ate convenient and I drink them cold like chocolate milk. I fell in love with Campbell's hand held Soup Tomato Bisque w/ Parmesan. Yummy...I also love tuna salad. I eat that daily for lunch. I never worry about protein requirements.

I start with hiccups. After I hiccup, I can only have about 1-2 bites after that. Burlington happens if I try and push it.

I noticed the same thing myself. I have been working on that. I'm able to keep my numbers regular but...I need to come down calorie wise a bit. It's funny how I am paying attention whereas before who knows how many calories I was downing.

I'm sorry about the infection but you will get better soon. The fill really was pretty easy. Keep us posted.

Hi everyone... I had my surgery 3/12/12 and my first fill on 4/10/12. Fill went great and incisions are healing really well. A couple of things I did learn were: 1. Eat on a saucer plate. 2. Eat proteins first because once you start feeling your restriction, it gets harder and harder for more food. 3. My hiccups at each meal are because I'm eating too fast. 4. Watch out for broccoli because it can give gas and be uncomfortable. 5. Milk should be soy due to added sugars in the others even fat free skim. 6. Wait 45 seconds between each bite. (Haven't been doing well on this one.) They gave me a progression chart of weight. For the first three months-want me to try and lose 8-9 lbs. Each of those three months. After that, it will be more difficult the smaller you get. They showed my plan for reaching my goal weight in 24 months. True Results requires a visit every 4 weeks for the first year to check on my progress.

Finally Under 200Lbs

You look amazing! I am so inspired! -
The exercise could be what triggered it but actually it may be gas. I had this happen to me recently and was puzzled because I really didn't have any gas issues after the surgery. So, I tried Gas X-and it totally went away. I was pretty nervous that something was wrong. I figured it out!

I had 5 incisions and they are not large at all. The port site is a bit longer, maybe about 3/4 of an inch and right under my bra. It is still covered with Dermabond. I can see the scabbing but the others looked the same. The ones where the Dermabond has already came off looks like a very simple scratch. I am actually pleased. I was really afraid at first but everything is healing nicely.

I love your last sentence. That can go for anything we want to eat. I will remember that when making choices.

How many calories do you eat a day? I'm pretty new to this but I love your loss.
